Marquee, Vol. 1 is a two-disc set of EDM that compiles tracks by the resident DJs at the Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub in Las Vegas. Disc one starts with Festen's "Wassup Vegas," a club banger that name-drops Sin City, and it sets the stage for a pounding, high-energy pace that doesn't let up until the end of disc two. The 33 tracks on board feature a wide variety of power players in the field of hard house, including veterans like Paul Oakenfold and newer iconic figures like Skrillex, whose "Lick It" is artfully remixed by Kaz James. A few tracks stand out, but ideally, this is the type of mix that should be listened to from start to finish, preferably while under the influence at a late-night dance club.
