Marry Me for Money by Mia Kayla

Leaving her small town behind, Bethany Casse moves to Chicago in search of a new life. Working at a top financial bank brings her into contact with two men who are as different as night and day.

Kent Plack, heir to Plack Industries, has no interest in being with a woman for longer than one night. A spoiled and lazy man-whore, he is completely content with his playboy lifestyle, and Beth is surprised when they form an unlikely friendship.

Brian Benson, a finance banker, is gorgeous and respectful. A man plucked from Beth's dreams, he is definite husband material. Unfortunately, Beth has a hard rule against dating coworkers, but Brian is determined to change her mind.

When a deadbeat mother and money problems follow her to Chicago, Beth is offered a solution that could fix everything. Marrying for money seems simple enough, but when lines become blurred, Beth faces difficult choices, making her realize that the easy way out just made her life even harder than before.

Beth, a small town girl in a big city, is fresh out of college starting her first "big girl" job as an underwriter for One Financial in Chicago. Her second day she's sent on a client call with Jim, one of the banker's in her group and meets Kent. The son of their client. Kent has never wanted for anything. His parents have always given him everything he's always wanted. He stays in bed until late morning, goes to the gym for hours, goes shopping and generally just does whatever he wants. He likes it that way. When Kent meets Beth he's forced to take her back to her hometown to tour his father's factory. He's happy to do it because he's gonna get laid. Or so he thinks. Beth tells him like it is right off the bat. She's not going to sleep with him. She's a relationship girl not a screw-everything-in-sight kind of girl. After the two of them have it out at breakfast, Kent decides he wants to be friends with Beth. She drinks like a guy, eats like a horse and is not afraid to tell you off. They become fast friends until Kent calls and asks her to meet him after work at a bar. Beth is concerned by his tone but agrees to meet him. That meeting changes everything. What has has happened to her life that she has to turn to this? What about the bills? Her mom? And most importnatly what about Brian? I liked this book. The feelings were raw on the pages and made you feel like a fly on the wall. I felt sorry for Beth, her mom wasn't her fault but she didn't deserve it. Brian was sweet but just not for her. I liked him but didn't sense a connection from her end. And I loved, loved, LOVED her relationship with Kent. Those two were made for each other! ***I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review***

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I loved the plot and character development by this author. It made for a wonderfully believable yet emotional story. I can't wait for her next novel in this series.

I really loved this book! It was refreshing to read a book that had a slow build to the relationships. The friendship that developd between Beth and Kent feels eal and is comical. The relatinship with Brian is bittersweet. Keep your tisshes on hand because you know  someone is going to get their heart broken ( or more than one person). I highly reccommend this book and look forward to more books from Mia Kayla.

I really enjoyed this book. Kent just needed the right woman in his life. Absolutely loved their friendship right from the beginning. I skipped a few chapters in the middle with Brian. Too much build up and wasted story. Overall a nice read.

Marry Me For Money is the debut novel of author, Mia Kayla.  Judging the book by it's cover, it didn't look like something I was going to enjoy.  It looked too lighthearted and cute.  Well, as the old saying goes, "Never judge a book by it's cover."  I loved this story.  Everything about it.  I gobbled it up in one sitting and now am going to stalk the author for her next release.  Look out world, we've got an awesome new author on the horizon.  Bethany is a heroine that you will cheer for.  She's strong, independent and determined to make a life for herself.  She doesn't have a safety net that most people have, so she knows she has to work harder than most.  Bethany comes from a small town and has her mind set on making it in the big city. Enter Brian and Kent.  Both good looking guys she meets through work.  One is hard-working and everything Beth looks for in a man.  One is spoiled, entitled and a walking STD.  They both make their way into her life, both playing different roles. Despite all she's done to get away from the small town she so desperately wanted to escape, her past finds her and hits her hard.  She's offered a way out, but things never work out as planned. This book was so much more than I expected it to be.  While parts of it were light hearted and cute, at times it got very emotional.  I laughed at the friendships that developed and then tears were streaming down my face when someone got hurt.  I loved the roller coaster of emotions that this book put me on.  Every time things were going smoothly in the story, you got hit in the face with a bat.  I wasn't able to put this book down.  I had to know how it was going to end.  Sorry folks, I won't reveal what happens, you'll just have to find out for yourself! Like I said, Mia Kayla is an author you will want to keep an eye out for.  I really enjoyed her writing style and I cannot wait to see what other stories she has cooking in her head.  As far as I'm concerned, she can't write fast enough.  I'll be over here patiently waiting for her next release.  And I'm not just saying that because she's a fellow Illinoisian!

I'm going to be vague because I don't want to give any spoilers. I loved this book. This is by far one of the best romance novels I've ever read. I actually felt all the emotions Beth went through- excitement, grief, sorrow, electric chemistry, etc... I can't ever remember that happening before. I am also totally in love with a certain fictional character now! This books has highs and lows, twists and turns. I loved every minute of it! I was given a digital ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I loved loved this book. The story started out slow and built from there. the characters chemistry was great from the beginning and I really believed they belonged together. Always enjoy a story where friends turn into lovers and a HEA. This book didnt disappoint. There was alot of backstory involved and it fit in perfectly with the story. IT was the first book I have read from this author and will not be my last. Cant wait for next book from Mia.
