Lauren has landed her first commission and it's a big one, she'll have the chance to paint a prince. Prince Nicolas is the second in line for the throne. He has quite a reputation, so Lauren isn't sure she's going to like the man. When they meet she can only stare and think about how handsome he is. However, she can't mess up her assignment and has to remain professional. Lauren stands out at the palace, with her colorful hair and regular clothes. She also isn't afraid to speak her mind, even not when dealing with a prince. Will this get her in trouble? Lauren is painting Nicolas to celebrate his thirtieth birthday. Nicolas is intrigued by the fierce woman who constantly makes him do things that are out of his comfort zone. Unfortunately the life of a prince is never private. When the press finds out about Lauren they won't leave her alone. Juicy stories are being made up and Lauren's whole world is being turned upside down. To finish her painting she spends a lot of time with Nicolas and they're growing closer. Royal life is not for her though, so what will she do when she's finished her painting? Marrying the Rebel Prince is a wonderful romantic story. I was immediately intrigued by the two main characters, a love story between a prince with a reputation and an eccentric artist makes fabulous reading. I loved Lauren's fiery attitude, she's smart, talented and brave. I admired how she isn't afraid to tell Nicolas the truth. He's a kind man who needs to find direction and Lauren gives this to him. They constantly challenge each other and the sparks that fly between them are amazing. Lauren and Nicolas are a fascinating dynamic couple and their story kept me glued to the pages. Janet Gover's writing style has a lovely easy flow. I liked her vivid descriptions of Lauren's work, she makes it come to life in a terrific way. I was captivated by the opulence of the palace and enjoyed reading about the good and the bad sides of being royalty. Janet Gover has written an entertaining story filled with adorable love and plenty of surprising twists and turns. Marrying the Rebel Prince is a fantastic feelgood book that warmed my heart and put a big smile on my face.
