About the Author
Walter John Trowbridge graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, in Architecture in 1960, and was a licensed Architect in California, Nevada, Illinois, Maryland, and Guam. During his active years, he lived and worked in San Francisco, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. In addition, he traveled extensively overseas, and in the process also lived and worked in London, Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, Dar-es-Salam (East Africa), Chennai (India), Jakarta (Indonesia), Guam, and Hawaii.
Mr Trowbridge retired in 2010 in Henderson, Nevada, and began to write romantic novels. These works are largely based on his personal experiences, but with the romantic affairs being purely fictional. He has published "Admiral Darling", a World War Two novel based on his experiences in the Philippines and Indonesia; "Professor Darling", based on his life in San Francisco, Berkeley, and at Cal; "Architect Darling", based on his two years of experience working in East Africa, including on safaris and climbing Mt Kilimanjaro; "Engineer Darling", based on his many years in Saudi Arabia, "General Darling" based on his experiences hosteling in Scandinavia and traveling throughout Europe many times; "Supervisor Darling", based on living three years in Indonesia; and finally "Marshal Darling", based on living in Nevada.
