Although I do somewhat agree with the person who said the writing was elementary I still think that the book was an excellent read. If you think about it, it's not all the writer's fault but it also falls back on the editors. Their job is to find and fix mistakes and that was not done properly. On the other hand, this is a story that people have TRIED to tell and it hasn't come out quite right until now. As a lesbian myself I loved the book and would recommend it to anyone who is curious about the transgender lifestyle or just likes a good story.

I the love book mass deceptions. Everything that was said was the truth about any thing that happens in life to someone. All I have to say is to think before u proceed. When is True Intentions coming out????

A book like no other! Toni and Ms.D are funny as hell and the book really make you think about whether or not you really know the person you sleeping with! Can't wait for the sequal.

I am an avid reader and I enjoyed this book. Yes it touches on a subject that people may not agree with but it's no different from what is being shown on Jerry Springer. Instead of sitting in front of the T.V. for an hour it took a couple of days to read. The point is this is for entertainment and not every day life, I think with that in mind it serves it's purpose and I personally can't wait to find out how things unfold. It's worth the read I recommend it.

I could not recommend this book. The writing was written so elementary/juvenile until it took away from the story. I can't imagine a popular publishing house printing this. Mass Deception is a story of an individual born a man, but was living his life as a woman (Victor/Victoria). A stale story told many times over. Some people are born to write and have been given this gift, others are want-to-be writers. This author is the latter. I'd suggest she find another hobby. Perhaps she's better at verbalizing a story moreso than writing it. This is just my honest opinion.

This book will have your emotions flowing. From feeling happy for the characters...to feeling sorry for them. You will not want to put this book down becuase your dying to know what happens next. I can't wait for the sequal! Does Toni finally tell John?

Hallema has out done herself. She has a fresh new voice and an unparalled style. She will be around for a long time. Mass Deception is a novel filled with suspense, intrigue, romance, laughter and of course deception. This story really does take your emotions on a roller coaster ride. All of the characters are lively and full of color. Devon or Ms. D as she is affectionately call by Toni the main character will keep you laughing. This story really does make you ask yourself do you really know the person with whom you sleep? Great job Hallema! I can't wait for the sequel.
