Chapter OneOnce upon a time in a small village called Ibusa in West Africa, there lived a guard dog named Frisky who was loyal and dedicated to his beloved master; a farmer named Kofi Asamoa.
Frisky faithfully watched over Master Kofi's house whenever the farmer left every morning before sunrise to work in his abundantly rich and beautiful farm fields.
One day, Master Kofi carefully prepared a delicious yam porridge and instructed Frisky, whom he fully trusted without question, to carefully watch over this tasty meal so that it would be waiting for him when he returned home after a long day of tiresome work.
But at the very moment that Master Kofi left his house to go to Farm, Frisky could not resist temptation: He hungrily gobbled up all of the yummy yam porridge that had been intended for dinner.
When Master Kofi returned home, he went hungrily to his pot of delectable yam porridge only to discover that the pot was empty!
"Frisky! Frisky!" shouted a surprised and angry Master Kofi, "Where is all of the yummy yam porridge that I made this morning for my dinner? I am so hungry!" "Oh Master Kofi," explained Frisky with haste – it was the cunning RayRay the Raven who flew into our window suddenly and quickly ate up all of the yam porridge before I could stop him! RayRay the Raven has fast wings to fly away; I have no wings to fly after him. Master Kofi was brimming over with volcanic frustration because his pot of yummy yam porridge was gone – He was so hungry that he could not think!
