Overview

After perfecting the formula for their lumbering heavy metal on Paranoid, Black Sabbath continued bludgeoning their audience into sweet, willing oblivion with Master of Reality and its seemingly endless supply of crushingly heavy riffs. If the album is a showcase for anyone, it is Tony Iommi, who keeps the album afloat with a series of slow, loud riffs, the best of which -- "Sweet Leaf" and "Children of the Grave" among them -- rank among his finest playing. There are a few stray necessary tracks scattered throughout the group's other early-'70s albums, but Master of Reality is the last time they delivered a consistent album and its influence can be heard throughout the generations of heavy metal bands that followed.

This album is true rock, aint no boy band crap on this disc thats for sure. If I had time to rate all the songs I would but I dont so, how about all the songs get 5 stars exept for solitude, it gets 2, or 3. Ill tell you if you want to get into Sabbath this is where you should start, If you start with this you will surly want to go out right away and get Parinoid. Heaven and Hell is also great for true Sabbath and Dio fans. But avoid all albums by this band that dont have Ozzy or Dio on vocals, if you dont you'll be very sorry.

Very good tracks. Ozzy sounds more pissed off than ever! The only bad thing is song "Solitude" that is too silent. But classics "After forever", "Children of the Grave" etc. take care of the thing that you like this album very much!!!!!
