A step above the loose leaf as far as physically appealing. Intellectually, its the same book. This book is 5 years old as reading the preface it says "ArcGIS is coming out with new upgrades in 2014", which means this book is written in 2013. Like the movie TRON, they update the cover and resell. I suppose a few pages where updated and replaced to check the block, but it sucks. Also the preface talks about free videos to follow the poorly written book, but alas are no where to be found. Move onto the next book that was written for Arc 10.6 or 10.5 at least.
