I found the book to be REALLY good. It gives an excellent overview and in many cases in-depth explanation of many different Ember topics including Ember's Object model, components, ember-data and promises. The writing style is pretty clear and understandable even to Ember beginners (most of the time). It even covers some advanced topics like integrating Ember with, which is pretty cool. What it does NOT cover that I wish it would cover is ember-cli. ember-cli is Ember's build/dependency management tool and it also has generators, which are meant to get you going in a similar fashion to Ruby-on-Rails' generators. (It is true that ember-cli is not "fully-cooked" yet, but completely avoiding it was probably an oversight.)

I really enjoyed reading this book, it taught me a lot of things that I didn't know about Ember.js. This book is perfect for you if you are starting your training on Ember.js. Even if you have played a little bit with Ember.js, this book will also help you to improve your knowledge and your technical skills. I found very useful the chapter about building Real-time applications with This book will also show you how to write tests for your Ember.js application. In summary, you will learn the most important core concepts of the framework and that’s something very valuable.
