A Leadership Bible Mastering Leadership makes the journey of conscious leadership transformation available to all individuals—from CEOs to managers to emerging entrepreneurs alike. For me, this book is a game-changer—it’s deep, thorough, and timeless. Through the Universal Model, integrated framework, case studies, The Leadership System and practices, and the Leadership Circle Profile self-assessment tool, Mastering Leadership empowers an awakening from the inside out and provides a path to leadership that engenders purpose, courage, compassion, action, and, ultimately, greater human and business performance. Bob Anderson and Bill Adams offer the promise of leadership—authored, transformed, and realized. Invest in your leadership. The return will be life-long.

Mastering Leadership is an important book in an ocean of leadership development literature. It ties together disparate theory work in a way that presents a coherent and actionable pathway forward, like few leadership books have. There are many theories on how to lead, with few offering the significant body of hard data that Anderson and Adams provide in this book. There is a saying in the business arena, that “If it is not measurable, it did not happen.” This book is a great balance between hard data and the art that leading is. It addresses the leadership soul in a data driven manner, while still finding time to incorporate poetry that resonates deeply within us. This book can help the 21st century leader develop themselves to meet the challenges that our world is presenting us. For leaders today, the name of the game is leading from a framework that can handle the complex nature of the challenges we face. The universal framework presented in this book weaves the best thinkers on leadership of our time into a model that can help transform the ways we lead. This book is a challenging read, and so it should be. As a practitioner of leadership development, I believe this book challenges the status quo in our field. It presents a provocative message, and developmental pathways for people to develop into leaders our world needs – a must read. Tim Edris
