Maximum Ride Manga, Volume 4 by James Patterson

Despite their initial hesitation, living with Anne has softened the Flock, so Max is keenly aware that it's time to leave. With Thanksgiving so near, though, all of them want to stay, at least until they've had their first ever Thanksgiving turkey! I can't wait till this comes out! I'm hoping the cover picture will be of Nudge. She's sooo pretty. :) I have all of the first three manga books already so I'll definitely be adding this one to the collection! GO MAXIMUM RIDE!!!!!

From an eleven year old girls perspective, my daughter loves these graphic novels. She loves the action and characters. Would recommend for Tweens and teens who enjoy Anime.

I dont know if you like the mangas or the book better. But right now for me it would be the books. Not being a hater to the mangas, but the manga does sometimes go off topic for the book. Just saying you should probably read the books first before you go into anymore of these versions kk.?

Funny how Sam (when the flock was living with anne) looks exactly like Daniel X in the manga series!!! Weird, its probably done by the same artist and im pointing out the obvious.. oh well, really good manga series to read when i dont feel like reading real books!! Im lazy!!!

Now I really want to read the books now. Already the story is getting really good and I'm liking the characters more and more. And already gushed about the art so I won't say how much I like it. Anyway, this volume was really good as the characters try to find answers and seem to have a lead.

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 unicorns - I loved it!!  Fantastic Must Read Manga Series!!  Great gift for reluctant readers!! **Checked out from the high school library Okay this is book 4, and I still love this series :)  As always remember these reviews are tough for me because it is harder to talk about these without giving away too much.  They are a quick read for me as well. Max and Fang are still awesome at protecting the flock, but Angel does help out with her special abilities when needed.  Total is full of surprises and his own talents.  Iggy had a surprise in this story.  And the flock is betrayed and lied to even more in this story.  I feel bad for them and wish I could adopt this kids.  They need someone who looks out for them instead of them being used.  Great story that keeps you intrigued and sucked into the story.  There are no boring parts in this series. I can’t wait to read book 5!!  And this is going to happen very soon!! I highly recommend graphic novels/manga for all your reluctant readers and your kids who are very visual.  I also think they are a great break in between books or filler when you don’t have time to read a full novel.

However, it may turn out to be kinda bland as you get older. It started out great, the plot that is, but lately it's been dragging on. The first 3 books were great and in my opinion it should've ended with three books and a fourth one to wrap it all up but alas, we are heading for our 7th and last book. I once was an avid fan but after the 6th one it took so many loops and turn to the point I don't know what I was reading. The first one was so harmless and adventurous and hilarious but lately has become a soap opera. However, I am older than I was 3 or 4 years ago. I think it's a good series for middle-schoolers definitely.

Really, really good. Awesome art as usual, but again with the sudden ending. And by "sudden" I mean "rip-off". The first book's ending made sense. It was a cliffhanger. But for three and four (I'm talking about the manga books here, not the written series, by the way) it just ended abruptly with cliffhangers that, in the original books, weren't even the biggest or most shocking turns of events. And then the last 20 pages or so are dedicated to ANOTHER graphic novel of Patterson's! I get the point of advertising and making money, but come on. I paid 10-something bucks for this, twenty pages aren't even what I paid for, and the ending is like one of those wet farts. Bad sounds, I know, but still. Don't get me wrong: I love the series. But writing and art should be about expressing your story and talent, not just for money. It seems like that's whats going on here, and that is not cool, plain and simple.
