Maxi's Travels

Overview

This is an adventure story for children with lots of great, challenging and imaginary twists and turns. The story includes a bit of magic and mystery of the unknown. Because Maxi has a pure heart and good intentions he is accepted, protected and welcomed everywhere he goes. During his journey he comes across a magical forest. He crosses many difficult, dangerous and tricky paths. Maxi meets many different creatures and beings, including animals both good and bad. Then he sees a giant’s Kingdom, whose Queen, after he earned, it made him a citizen of her Kingdom. Without his knowledge she and the giants prepared him for the continuance of his quest. Maxi started his adventure when he was only sixteen years old, he was still quite young for such a journey. As this adventure takes a long period of time. Maxi is growing up and maturing quickly. He experiences lots of fascinating events during his quest. Maxi made friends very easily because he was a very hardworking, honest and fearsome young man. He tried to help everyone as he could on the way to complete his journey. He reached a Kingdom which was draped in black. The King’s daughter was kidnapped by a big dragon. Maxi takes the challenge on and goes after the princess, to rescue her. He brings her back to her father, he succeeds in his quest. This is when Maxi realizes his urgency for the calling of this journey. After being Knighted, Maxi is rewarded by the King by allowing Maxi to wed his daughter, Princess Goldie. Maxi is now a very handsome mature young man. He goes to pick up his father as he promised and then visits the giants Queen’s castle. He then returns home to the King’s castle. He became very thrilled with his new life and the future of his new family, including his father in the King’s and Princesses’ and his Kingdom.

About the Author

My name is Mary Smith. I arrived from Czechoslovakia in 1968. I passed my GED test with postsecondary experience. I have a diploma in correspondence studies from Arts Instruction School, a personal computer specialist diploma with highest honors from US International Correspondence Schools, and an office administration diploma fro Career Development Institute. I also attended George Brown College, DeVry College, triOS College, and many workshops where I achieved many certificates as I'm a firm believer in continual education. In my life, I worked in inventory control and purchasing, accounting, administrative work, office management, and a job development work in nonprofit contract work, helping unemployed or underemployed people return to work through arranging workshops, college upgrades, research, counseling, support, resumes, and placement into jobs including job shadowing. Due to having diabetes type 1, MS and myasthenia gravis, I had to give up working. One day, I decided to try my hand at writing children's book; I had that interest since I was a child. That was when Maxi and his travels came to life.
I continue to develop the Maxi story as I see it revealing his continuous quests. He is challenged in this amazing story to save the protectors and guardians of the Enchanted Forest as well as the Dark Woods Forest. This forest is also magical with its own magical creatures and animals.
White Knight and Maxi's sword have to be used once again as Maxi needs to save the Black Forest and the Enchanted Forest from being overtaken by the red wolves and other animals that are trying to take over the guardianship of the forests from the forests' peacekeepers and guardians keeping things in order. All the Enchanted Forest's beings were ready to battle the red wolves. Together, they all collaborated on the preparations for the battle of the red wolves and their allies. Maxi had to get some of King John's and Queen Victoria's army as he did before.
After the battle, Maxi, Goldie and the prince visited Queen Victoria then King John, where Goldie remained while Maxi attended to another quest. He had to find out why two red wolves were following them; he found out the ex-king hired them to do this to watch Maxi's activities. They were actually not wolves but changelings who became Maxi's allies during the long trip that followed.
