With this first Silver Harbor romance, Foster (Searching for Love) ties together well-loved tropes in satisfying fashion. Billionaire workaholic Aiden Aldridge is on an enforced vacation mandated by his younger sister when he meets chef Abby de Messiéres, who’s returned to her childhood hometown of Silver Island to settle her late mother’s estate and consider an offer on her family’s rundown restaurant. Relentlessly optimistic Abby and driven Aiden immediately click. Soon, they’re inseparable—but Aiden doesn’t know how to tell Abby that he was the restaurant’s potential buyer or that, after getting to know her, he became an angel investor to save her from having to sell. When these secrets inevitably come to light, it could spell doom for their relationship. Numerous characters from Foster’s earlier works make cameos, which will please her fans, and an afterword explaining how all the series converge will help new readers get oriented.
