While McCord's level of organization and preparation may be highly aspirational for many, her candid and entertaining writing style along with a variety of inviting recipes with wide appeal will likely inspire readers to try her approach. This cookbook does not go the route of batch cooking, but many of the recipes include notes on how to enjoy them later and what components can be prepped in advance.
