This book, plus the other two in the "Malmo" series, present an all "too-human" police inspector who uses her powers of detection as well as her instinct to solve crimes. And there's the rub. Ending is a shocker that pulls you into the next book. Believable characters, some likeable, some not at all. Great tension between them has the reader cheering for the good guys. Love the references to other fictional detectives woven into the plots. Great read.

Plot twists have to have some plausibility. The ones here had none.

Having been to Malmo, I found the text quite enjoyable to follow; brought back lots of memories from my visit to that part of Sweden. The characters were good too.
