Children's Literature - Suzie Davis
Dinotrux are part dinosaur and part truck and, according to this story, they ruled the earth millions of years ago. One Dinotrux, Dozeratops wants to meet the Dinotrux that live on the other side of the river. He cannot swim, so he does not know how he will get across. His friend Cementosaurus puts out a call for help from all the other “Trux” to get Dozeratops cross the river. Tyrannosaurus Trux suggests they use their individual skills to build a bridge together. Using supplies from Semisaurus’s stomach, they get started. Will the Dinotrux be able to work together to accomplish this task? Meet the Diontrux is a “Passport to Reading” leveled reading book “designed to build read-along and read-alone skills through engaging and enriching stories.” Emerging readers will enjoy the colorful illustrations, cleverly named characters, and engaging text. Included within this book is a Guide to the Dinotrux with helpful pronunciations of each truck. Reviewer: Suzie Davis; Ages 3 to 7.
