Great installment of the Meg series! I have waited years for this book and it was not a disappointment. I can't wait for Meg 6 to come out!

Love this book, another great one from alten, couldn't put it down. Lots of thrills and excitment but still has some deep character development. Recommend it to everyone who loves thrillers sci fi's or just a good fiction.

Another fantastic novel in the MEG series from author Steve Alten. I stayed up too late because I could not put the book down. The creatures are scary and the characters are complex. I can't decide if I feel sorry for them or just am annoyed at the choices they've made. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and didn't come back to the real world until the last word on the last page. I highly recommend.

I've been a fan of Steve Alten's work since the first Meg novel back in the '90's and have enjoyed almost everything that he's put out there. Vostok came out and was an exciting sequel to the excellent The Loch. Then Mr. Alten seemed to forget what type of book he was writing and dropped aliens, UFO's and new age time travel nonsense right in the middle of it. I really didn't think it meshed well with the prior book's direction and where this was going either, but I finished it and was not pleased with the outcome. I figured the author would stick with the tried and true formula that made the Meg series so enjoyable with Nightstalkers, but about a third of the way through, he's dropping aliens, UFO's and new age time travel nonsense right in the middle of a giant shark story. Steve, giant sharks, dinosaurs, giant whales and ancient alien time travel just doesn't mesh well and I think I've purchased my last book by you.

Quite an adventure!! This title was packed with action, adventure, suspense, and of course the great characters from the other four titles. The cool thing about this title and the other four is, they could be read in any order and there's no boring moments in these books. The best way to describe these books is to imagine a combination of Jaws & Jurassic Park, and learning a bunch of fun facts about sharks and the other creatures within these pages.

I read the first MEG book when I was just 13 ( I'm 18 now) and I instantly fell in love with the fast paced, yet detailed story line. Not ever being an avid reader, reading this series is the only series I've ever truly been intrigued by. And waiting for this book was tortuous. But it did not disappoint! This is for sure the best book so far in the series. With twist and turns you would never expect (spoiler) like swimming with the two magnificent sisters. Honestly I though they weren't gonna eat the two swimmers. To bad they did haha. Got through the the whole book in only two days! Super excited for MEG generations and anxiously awaiting the movie!

Well worth the wait. Another edge of the seat, can't put it down, ride! Maybe the best of the series so far. You will not be disappointed with this book. It is a summer must read! Mr. Alten sure can make you think twice about going anywhere near the water, EVER! Absolutely love this book and this author.

Wow!!! A thrill ride from beginning to end. I finished the book in 2 days. It is hard to find a place to stop and put the book down. I was thinking there was no way that Mr. Alten could top the first four books but I was wrong. This might just be the best in the series so far. It has some of the most tense moments and best action inter twined with great characterization. Get this book, read it and the next time you go swimming dont be afraid of jaws. Be afraid of the Meg that devoured jaws.

You'll love this action-packed story, which continues directly after MEG: Hell's Aquarium & Vostok.

So much going on with so many different extinct creatures. Loved every minute of it. As always, I can do without the speedy love stories.
