The ultimate forbidden love – when Lucifer falls for an angel.
Luce and Mel unearth an age-old conspiracy behind his fall from Heaven which could doom their love for eternity. Yet in the deepest levels of Hell lies a secret that could hold their salvation.
Eternal damnation awaits any angel who descends into the Pit of Despair, but Mel will move Heaven and Earth to save Lucifer's soul. Armed with little more than the fury of a righteous angel, Mel will raise Hell in the name of love.
From the heights of Heaven to the depths of Hell, can love truly conquer all?
A tiny taste of what's in store:
"Heaven won't help you if you stand in my way. From HELL Corporation to the Pit itself. Now, more than ever, it's time for me to go to Hell."
With barely a gold shimmer in the air, she was gone.
"What do we do now?" Peter asked Michael.
"Pray," Michael replied. "I'd prefer to let a hundred demons into Heaven, with my blessing, than agree to let Mel go to Hell."
"Why did you let her go, then?" Peter persisted.
Michael's laughter was hollow. "Nothing can stop her from fulfilling her destiny. Not you, not me, not Raphael. Not even all the forces of Heaven combined."
"What about the forces of Hell?"
Michael closed his eyes in defeat. "We're about to find out, aren't we?"
About the Author
Demelza Carlton has always loved the ocean, but on her first snorkelling trip she found she was afraid of fish. She has since swum with sea lions, sharks and sea cucumbers and stood on spray-drenched cliffs over a seething sea as a seven-metre cyclonic swell surged in, shattering a shipwreck below. Sensationalist spin? No - Demelza tends to take a camera with her so she can capture and share the moment later; shipwrecks, sharks and all. Demelza now lives in Perth, Western Australia, the shark attack capital of the world. The Ocean's Gift series was her first foray into fiction, followed by the Nightmares trilogy. She swears the Mel Goes to Hell series ambushed her on a crowded train and wouldn't leave her alone.

This series is great. I give the whole series an A. Fans of MaryJanice Davidson will love this series as Mel reminds me a lot of Betsy. It was hard to put the tablet down once I started reading these books. The author does a great job of breathing life into the characters. The way Mel wins over every demon she encounters and the hilariousness that ensues is wonderful. I have to admit I laughed so hard at the mischief Mel does while traveling the levels of Hell to get to Luce.
I liked it
I received this book for an honest review, then I went ahead and purchased a copy also because I liked it so much and wanted in my library so I could lend it out if I wanted to. Follow the story of Mel and Luce as Mel travels through Hell to try save the man she loves. Will she be successful? You will have to read the book to find out.
Can the Baddest of the Bad be Redeemed Spoiler Alert: This is Book III in the Mel Goes To Hell Series. The Mel Goes To Hell Series has been a hilarious romp through Hell with angels and demons vying for the souls of others. The witty dialogue and snarky repartee between Mel and Luce kept me laughing and hoping. Hoping that good will prevail and that Mel and Luce will be able to come to some kind of an agreement (?). It is a story of love, sacrifice and redemption. Yep. I thought that would happen and wondered how it would work out. But, I can’t tell you. You will have to find out for yourself and it is well worth the read. Mel is bold, confident and calling in all her favors. Love is Mel’s greatest strength. Can it redeem Luce, the Lord of Hell? Or would she be the one to fall? I am attracted to the bad boy. Can a bad boy change his ways? What do you think? “Who would walk through Hell naked? “I do it all the time. Well, usually with horns, the tail, the red skin…you know, the whole works . People seem to expect it on occasion…” Mel Goes To Hell is a bit different from the first two books in the series. It is more serious in tone and storyline as the battle between good and evil escalates, but she does not forget the humor that, I believe, helps all friendships to grow and develop into long lasting relationships. The series has such a unique storyline that keeps me captivated and wanting more. The twists and turns, along with the surprises Demelza comes up with will, I hope, continue to entertain me. Is there more to come, Demelza? I received the ebook for Mel Goes To Hell by Demelza Carlton in return for an honest, unbiased review.
Demelza Carlton definitely continues the hilariously fun and exciting adventure of Mel and Luc. This is a must have book in anyone's collection of the paranormal romance/adventure collection. But if you have not read any of the series start at the beginning it is worth the trip!!
A This book picks up directly after the huge events that happened in the last book, See you in Hell, for those who haven’t read it yet, do so before picking this book up, you won’t be sorry. For those who have, you will start from the next day when all the repercussions of Mel’s actions come to light. I admit to cursing the author to Hell at the end of the last book as I wanted to find out what happened next. So when I got the opportunity to read this book I was super excited to do so and I’m excited to say that it was a fantastic read. It grabbed me at the first page and didn’t let go till the end. There was a holy crap moment early in the book which while it was a surprise that I really did not see coming it set into play the rest of the book nicely. Way to snag a reader’s attention. Once again the author has led us the reader on a fun filled romp through the delicate landmine that is Heaven and Hell. You will get glimpses of past characters in Lillith, Persephone and my favourite imp Merihim as well as new characters that you may develop a soft spot for. I for one am looking forward to the next book that I suspect Luce will take over and won’t that be a treat. If you, like me read a lot of paranormal books and sometimes like to read something in that genre but not so serious then this is the series 1for you. Start with Welcome to Hell which is permanently free and take it from there. These books are a fun read and well worth every cent.
