the information in this book revolutionized the way that I read the bible and practice what it says. If put to practice, these principles will enable you to take hold of THE life.

This book was so interesting to read. The descriptive biblical pictures of the church were inspiring and deepened my understanding of the wonderful provision God has given His followers:the body of Christ. Useful material for small group studies.

A very intriguing, practical and biblical approach to experiencing authentic and life changing body life. Read this book and explore the possibilities of how God can use it in the life of your church.

This book ranks right up there with the author's *Satan and His Kingdom* for must-reads for serious followers of Christ. Every chapter left me wanting to sharpen my ministry focus, get serious, work hard, not waste time on peripheral matters, and get the job done at all costs. I want to engage in church work as God means church to be!

Read this book cover-to-cover and thought it was great. The author does a good job of explaining Biblical passages in depth (I liked how there were Bible passages backing up the points on every page) but also explaining how it is practical in every-day life. Good read!

I really enjoyed this book and was particularly struck by the way the author expounds on imagery of the church used in the NT. His section on 7 Pictures of the Church was really refreshing and convicting, and not something you usually read about. It is a must read for anyone interested in getting more involved in christian fellowship and servant leadership

Our Indonesian student fellowship underwent a slow but awesome paradigm shift over the past 7-8 years. Among the very important paradigm shift is the view the ministry is defined as investing in someone's life, as opposed to reducing ministry to some program-based activity you do once a week in an organization. We learn this new ministry paradigm and many other principles much from Dennis (his class material, which now becomes this great book) and the Xenos Church in general. The change takes a lot of persistence and God's intervention, but well worth the journey. We forget many things in life, but we don't forget seeing people's lives changed forever by God through each member building up each other in love and truth. The principles laid out in this book can very easily be dismissed by the way we do church for many years, or temptation to please the crowd. But if you're willing to take time to read with a clean slate and go back to the Bible as authority, you'll find this book makes you question much of the status quo. Let's build God's church HIS way, not our way.

This book is an great resource for anyone in their church. Not only does it point out flaws in the modern day church but it shows you practical ways to change that. It takes a hands on approach towards really establishing a biblical ethos into your church.
