I absolutely love this series. I was eager to read this book. I knew it was going to be good when very early into the book I though to myself "omg no it can't be!" and a lot of "oh no he didn't!". This book has so many twists and turns it could be its own soap opera. Actually, I'd love to see this series turned into a movie or tv show. It's seriously that good. This book is more about Junior or Deigo (depending on who is talking about him). He is an adult now and obviously his untraditional upbringing has had its toll on him. I loved to read about the man he had become. This author is the only one I know of that can write a story full of mobsters and violence and yet have undying love so evenly balanced through the whole story. I always find myself staying up late to finish the book I'm currently reading in the series to see who ends up dead, and who wins the girl. Good thing the Montiago boys are ficitional characters are there would be a lot more broken hearts in the world.

Once again, Judy has whisked me away into the Montiago world! I enjoyed reading from Junior's perspective, and as with her other books in the series, I could not put it down. I just purchased her new book, "Linked" (not a part of the Montiago series), and can't wait to spend my weekend engrossed in it! Judy is certainly making a name for herself as an superb writer and storyteller! Thanks again, Judy!

I have loved every book from Judy Serrano’s  Lilly series and book number 4 Memoirs of a Mobster was everything I hoped it would be. This time the story was told my Deigo Montiago (Junior) Lilly’s first born son who is now a grown man. There were lots of twists and turns to the book which is what I loved with all of the books in the series. All of the favourites are still in the book, Deigo Snr, Max, Hector, Lilly of course and Diego Jnr married pregnant Contessa first to protect her from his father Johnny but he falls in love with her almost instantly and when Johnny is killed Nico takes over. Nico is Diego Jnr’s cousin but he is a loaded weapon. Things get crazier and crazier Nico wants Tess. Deigo Snr and Lilly marry and head off for their honeymoon leaving Deigo Jnr, Hector who reappears after being shot in the head all those years ago and Max who also was “killed” turns up. Its all so crazy but so believable. I loved everything about the book. Even though it was years after the first four books I got into it straight away. It told of what happened between book four when Deigo was 15 to now a 30 year old. I couldn’t get enough of it. It was very well written and I cannot wait for the next installment that I think again will blow me away. The series would definitely make a great film and I would be one of the first to watch it.
