Parrish has proven he is an excellent writer in the first two books of the Dominion Trilogy. In this trilogy he has woven an intricate tale that was a whirlwind of action and drama. Merciless is no less intricate, but the story is more streamlined. The point of view changes many times, but Parrish is masterful at the switches so the story arc is never confusing.... Parrish has finished the Dominion Trilogy beautifully with Merciless. He displays sacrifice and redemption without being preachy. There are examples of selflessness that bring tears to the eyes of the toughest souls. The wild ride comes to rest and the reader is able to get out of the car safe and sound, if not changed.
