If you are a fan of Freddie Mercury or Queen you will more than likely will somewhat appreciate this biography but I doubt if you will be wowed by it's content. Much of the information Jones writes about has been taken from documentaries and interviews which are available on youtube and DVD. She does not make note of the source of quotes and sometimes I got the feeling she wanted us to believe she actually was present at these various interviews and meetings which is an impossibility. Jones did not interview, she compiled information available to us all if we were internet savvy. However, it is a well put together summary of Freddie's life and World regardless of information source. Te description of his death and details of how he suffered with AIDS does get to be a bit morbid for any reader. Jones was not discreet in the least when writing about Freddie's bowel issues and slobbering, dignity in death was not granted by Jones. Summary: At retell of many familiar Freddie Mercury stories compiled into a single book, great coverage of his climb to infamy and lifestyle choices, poor description of his dying days that could have been written with more tact.
