He’s the Spare Heir of Bliss’s most famous jewelry shop
Max Gregory’s family is best known for creating and displaying the infamous Mrs. Claus diamond ring, but here in the bridal capital of the world, Max is best known for having a cursed love life. Not that he believes in curses. Or he didn’t, until he met her.

She’s the daughter of a notorious jewel thief

And their Christmas miracle might be a second chance at love
Max was devastated when he discovered why Merry disappeared last year. Now she's back in Bliss for a wedding, and her father may be after his family’s most prized possession. But is it the diamond Max is worried about? Or is he afraid of losing the only woman who’s ever made him want to settle down?

Either way...the family jewels are in danger.

4.75 Stars This is the fifth book in The Misfit Brides Series and it's all about second chances, heartache and betrayal. Merry would never step foot back in Bliss if her mother wasn't due to get married there, the first reason is Max the man she loves and left lives there and secondly he is part of the family who created the Mrs Claus diamond ring and she knows her jewel thief father would love to get his hands on that gem. All Merry wants is to be left alone to write her children's books under the name of Phoebe Moon because if she can't have Max she wants no man. Max was heartbroken when Merry left him with out a goodbye or note to tell him what was wrong and this time round he is determined to know what she is up to. Things are going well until Merry's father turns up but is he there to steal or is he there to make things right, you need to read the book to find that out. This book has a lot of emotion but it also has some laughs and once you but it all that together you get a great read. The characters are strong yet quirky and as with all of this authors work once you start reading you will find it hard to but down. Loved it I was given this book for an honest review

MERRIED, the 5th book in Jamie Farrell's Misfit Brides of Bliss series is Max Gregory's story. Max's family owns the With This Ring jewelry store in Bliss. Max who found the Golden Bouquet and has been cursed with seven years of bad luck in love. Of course, Max says, Who cares if all his girlfriends leave him, that's just life... not a curse. Max doesn't believe in curses. Merry Silver was the last woman to leave Max. Not because he's cursed, but because she's cursed with a family that is trouble... especially for someone in the jewelry business. The last place she wants to be is back in Bliss. Back in the town where Max lives so that she can relive her heartbreak every time she sees him. But her Mom is getting married. Again. And this time it simply must be in this lovely, romantic town that is completely focused on weddings. Nothing less will do when it's your seventh marriage. As typical of Ms. Farrell's writing this story was sweet and humorous in so many ways. I really loved the ending, but have to admit I struggled a bit through the book. First of all, I missed the more constant input of the major characters and townspeople of Bliss I've grown to love that were in the first four books. But more than that, the constant back in forth in time in order to relate Max and Merry's story was sometimes hard to follow. But again, there were so many memorable scenes, new quirky characters to love, and a fabulous ending that made me so glad I stuck it out to the end. 3.5 stars ~I listened to the audio version of Merried and was very pleased with the character portrayals voiced by the narrator.

Max Gregory is the spare heir for the jewelry store located on a The Aisle in Bliss. Merry Silver is the daughter of a world famous jewelry thief. There is no way Max and Merry should be involved, but they can't seem to stay away from each other. Merry broke Max's heart a year ago when she found out her dad had plans to steal the Mrs. Claus diamond, the reason why Max's family has such a great reputation as world renowned jewelers. She didn't want to risk anything happening to Max or his family. Now she's back in Bliss waiting for her mom to get married AGAIN. Her mom loves to get married, but doesn't do so well at staying married. Merry has her hands full trying to make sure her mom's wedding goes off without a hitch plus keeping her dad from stealing the diamond plus trying to keep her hands (and everything else!) off Max. I thoroughly enjoyed this book along with being revisited from so many of the characters from previous Bliss books. There were parts that were laugh out loud funny. I loved this book and cannot wait to read more.

Ms Farrell never fails to make her readers laugh with her stories and Merried is no exception. Her quirky sense of humor leaves her readers wanting more. Merried brings us back to the magical town of Bliss where happily-ever-after awaits everyone. But will Max and Merry get their happily ever after? I love second chances story and this is a beautiful second chances story. I was captivated throughout the story and was left wanting more. Can't wait to read more of Ms Farrell's stories, especially if it is based in Bliss. *I was given an advanced copy. All opinions expressed are my own.

Ms. Farrell is one of my go to authors when one of her books comes out I am usually begging to review it. She bring such humor, love to her characters she hooks you from the first page with her wonderful writing talent. With this addition to the Misfit series poor Merry cannot get a break from her famous jewel thief father to her mother going through husband like there is no bodies business. She so wants to have a normal life but it is hard when you father pulls you in to his line of business from a young age. It was many years before she truly knew what she had been pulled into. Her mother who has always been totally in love with her father did the only thing she could to save Merry she divorce him giving her daughter she hopes to be a better life. The only thing is her mother cannot find happiness and begins a wedding marathon changing men faster than you can say jackrabbit. Which brings us to a wedding in Bliss and back to the man Merry ran from who she is madly in love with the kick is he owns a jewelry store. As soon as she found this out she had no choice but to run which left Max guessing what happen running around town like a chicken with his head cut off looking like a fool. The people in Bliss are not happy with Merry for breaking their precious Max’s heart. Merry just has to get through this wedding and she will be on the run again that is if Max can’t catch her this time. What made this a great read for me is the humor, the fun characters, a little mystery, characters which keep it entertaining, her mother who is a delight nothing gets this lady down, getting to check in with past characters, the town of Bliss anyone would want to live here it’s a small town where everyone knows everyone and their business. I even grew to like her father. There is a BIG surprise at the end that will wow you. This is just a few of the reason I LOVED this book there are tons of other reasons. My heart really went out to both Merry and Max for so many reasons. Merry just wants to find love, have a family and get away from her father’s influence that somehow he always seems to pull her in as an innocent by stander. She just has to get through one more of her mother’s wedding and she is off to France. Max just wants some answers things were going to wonderful this was the women of his dreams here one day gone the next with no explaining he wants answers, really he is demanding them. I totally enjoyed the baiting back afford between these two. I loved the messes Merry finds herself in as she dig herself in deep when trying to dig herself out. For such a small town Max still finds his self running around hunting down this woman who is driving him to drink. Ms. Farrell puts a twist on romance with me reading so many sometimes they kind of blend into the same mold. Ms. Farrell she keeps her stories highly entertaining grabbing you attention from the first page pulling you in taking you to a fun place full of drama you love as she gives you a wonderful read that keeps you laughing, shaking your head and loving every word. Every book in this series is unique, with heartbreak, fun, sweet, loving, shocking at times all set in my crazy humorous town. I really recommend any book in this series I love them all it is so hard to pick my favorite but “Merry “is right up there at the top. If you are looking for a new author one you can relate to not only in her writing but her characters this is one you should pick up.

MERRIED by Jamie Farrell is an enjoyable, flirty contemporary romance with a dash of mystery and suspense thrown in. Farrell's ability to create original and unique characters in the same series is what has me coming back for more with each book. I was very excited that there is a bit of mystery in the plot as well. Max and Merry are two of my favorite characters in this series. They are perfect for each other. The chemistry is palpabale. Even when she fought it all the way for what she believed as a solid decision, she couldn't help but be led by her heart always back to Max. Their conversation and interactions are so comfortable even while fighting. I enjoyed the maturity in Max and how he always wanted to help Merry with her own personal demons. The love scenes in MERRIED are smokin hot. With each book in the series you never know how many love scenes will show up, if any, and they always fit the story and character fantastically. Max and Merry's romance was fun to watch from start to end, including the flashbacks of their earlier time together. Each chapter started off with an excerpt from a Phoebe Moon book (a children's book series written by Merry under a pen name) and the conversation between Merry and Phoebe in Merry's mind is just hilarious. I can't help but picture all authors I know talking to their characters like this at times. It was a fun aspect of the story and added yet another layer to Merry and the story. The reason Merry was back in Bliss was because her mother was getting married again. The relationship between Merry and her Mom was so sweet to watch. Merry wanted nothing more than for her mom to be happy and the same held true for her mom. Family relationships are always touching and make you smile. The relationship between Merry and her Dad, however, was a bit more contentious. She had her hands full with him and it shaped her life. The ending with regards to her Father was not what I saw coming at all, but it was perfect. Each of Farrell's Misfit Brides books can be read as stand alones and if you are looking for a contemporary romance to read, give MERRIED a try. It shows Farrell's fantastic story telling as well as her unique and sometimes quirky characters. I always have a warm heart and a happy sigh at the end of each book she writes.

This is a wonderfully written, touching story. The characters are well developed, endearing and quirky. I love seeing characters from the previous books interact with the current hero and heroine. Bliss is one of those small towns you wish was real so you could visit. I highly recommend Ms. Farrell's Misfit Brides series. Opinions expressed here are my own. Merried by Jamie Farrell is book five in the fantastic Misfit Bride Series and is a wonderful addition to the series! The spare heir to a jewelry shop and the daughter of a jewelry thief are brilliantly matched in this must-read! Merry and Max dated until Merry left town. Merry’s back in Bliss to marry her mom off, but needs to leave before her jewel thief of father find out she’s there. When Merry and Max see each other again, it makes leaving impossible. Max is dangerous and is the only man to steal her heart, but how on earth can a relationship work between them? Both Merry and Max are amazing characters and deserve to live happily ever after and this author definitely delivers on that end! Fantastic read that you will want to read over and over again! Highly Recommended!

Merried by Jamie Farrell....Another wonderful heartfelt story by Jamie Farrell. The book has second chances, secrets, fun, sweet, quirkiness and great characters. I loved Max and Merry, I really enjoyed seeing their stories unfold. Jamie Farrell is in my top five authors, I will read any book with her name on it. She know how to suck the readers into the story and you can not put it down until the last word. This is a must read or any book in the Misfit Bride series. I was given a complimentary book for an honest review.

I'm a huge fan of Jamie Farrell's books and find myself falling more and more in love with her characters in each book. When I saw Merried was going to be a second change romance between Max and Merry, I was over the moon to read it. Merried is every bit as laugh out loud funny as the first 4 books in the Misfit Brides series. It also pulled so many emotions from me as I watched Merry struggle with her choices to either be near Max or stay away, and to try and to protect everyone as she has her entire life. I will say I absolutely adored Merry and Max as a couple. They had wonderful chemistry and really just seemed to get each other in a way no one else got either one of them. While I loved Max, I have to say Merry was my favorite character from Merried. I loved how she wanted to take care of everyone from her mother, to Max, to her dad, to the entire town of Bliss. I also absolutely fell in love with her as "Phoebe Moon" and loved when they had conversations in her mind. I mean really, who doesn’t have their very own 13-year old running dialogue in their head? I've already begged Jamie Farrell to right the Phoebe Moon stories so I can read them, as the little snippets hooked me from the very beginning. Merried is another winner in the Misfit Brides series from Jamie Farrell. I love that with each new book in the series I'm guaranteed laughter, a few tears, and a new couple to fall in love with each time. I highly recommend the Misfit Brides series to any contemporary romance fan. Rating: 4 Stars (B+) Review copy provided by publisher

Jamie Farrell has done it again with book five in her Misfit Brides series. Merried is just as entertaining as the rest of the stories and will have you laughing out loud and possibly crying when you least expect it. The connection between the characters is so great they a way of making me feel like I was sent right into the story to live the story right alongside of them. I can’t wait to see what Miss Farrell has planned for us in her next book. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I don't know where to begin because I so loved many things in this book. I'll start with Merry. I so loved her character and she's a writer. I couldn't help, but feel for her because her life hasn't really been her own and when she's with Max she gets a glimpse of what normal could look like. She's afraid to hope. I also love her sense of humor. That's one of the many things I loved about this book the humor. I always love visiting Bliss and this one was a fantastic addition to the series. I can't tell you enough how much I recommend this series.

Merried by Jamie Farrell is the fifth book in The Misfit Brides series. Merried can be read as a standalone but I suggest reading the other books in the series for backstory but also because each of them is fantastic in its own way. Meredith (Merry) Silver is in Bliss to attend her mother’s wedding. Where she really wants to be is in France a far cry from her father— a jewel thief. All Merry wants is to lead a normal life. Max Gregory’s family owns a jewelry store and is Merry’s ex. She left him without explanation. Now that she’s returned to Bliss, can she and Max rekindle their romance? Will all of the secrets be revealed so they can have their happily ever after? Merried was a book filled with laugh-out loud moments. I love second chance romances and I loved both Max and Merry. I was sorry when the book came to an end. I highly recommend Merried and all of the books in the Misfit Brides series. I’d like to disclose that I received an advance copy in exchange for a fair and honest review.

LOVE it! Merry is a fabulous character, dealing with a father who is a thief has forced her to move repeatedly, always being the new girl which turns into never having friends. She finds her passion in writing, a fabulous series for children about Phoebe Moon. As Merry faces life’s daily challenges, we get to hear Phoebe in her head, essentially her 13 year old alter ego, which I absolutely loved. When she finally thought she found a normal life and a boyfriend, Max, her father interferes and all her dreams are dashed. But then, her serial marrying mother, plans a wedding in Bliss and she lands right back into Max’s orbit. Max loves Merry and doesn’t understand why she disappeared. Of course, the fact that he owns a jewelry store and her father is a jewel thief, well, that can be a challenge. Can Merry find a way to overcome her fears and allow herself to find a HEA? Or will she run again? Max has his own fears to face after taking time to care of his ailing grandparents, he works for the family but his true passion is old cars. Will he find the courage to pursue his dream while capturing Merry’s heart? This is a fun, laugh out loud, sexy romance that surprised me several times and just gave me that happy escape.

Merried by Jamie Farrell is my star of the week book. Probably my star of the month book. If possible, I wouldn't hesitate to rate this 6 stars. I have read most of Ms Farrell's books and I can honestly say, this one is my favorite. Merried is well written and a very smooth read. The characters in this book are amazing and made this book into an awesome read. Ms Farrell has sprinkled lots of humor and bits of drama that held my attention from cover to cover. This is a definite don't want to put it down book. The sexy bits are very low level making this a book anyone can enjoy. Max and Merry's story was a totally fun read. If Ms Ferrell ever gets tired of writing for us adults, she'll have the option of writing children's books, I'm ready to buy my grandkids Phoebe Moon books now. I enjoyed reading Merried and look forward to reading more from Jamie Farrell in the future. Merried is book 5 of The Misfit Brides Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger. Warning: Do not read this book in a crowd of people. It's laugh out loud funny and you may collect some strange looks. I received an ARC of this book for review purposes.

I was so excited to return to Bliss Illinois with the misfit brides. This book will having you falling in love with Max and Merry at their second chance love story. Along with Merry's parents. Her mother is preparing for her seventh wedding and her father is a jewel thief. On top of that Max owns a jewelry store. This story will have you laughing out loud and turning the pages quickly but not wanting the story to end. Full of family dynamics and suspense, this is a sure winner. I highly recommend to take to trip to Bliss, Go Cubs!

I had so many laugh out loud moments with this story!! Loved it so much and loved being back in Bliss! Merry is the daughter of a jewel thief. And she's in love with a jeweler. Or she could have been if her father hadn't ruined her life once again. Now a year later she's back in Bliss, back to Max's town for her mothers wedding and doesn't know how she's gonna handle seeing him again. Max was devastated when Merry left. No note, no goodbye, nothing. Just disappeared without a trace or way to get in touch. Now she's back. And as beautiful and witty and smart as ever. And Max wants her back. But she's determined to leave once again. As these two rekindle what was they embark on a funny, charming and lustfilled relationship. Things are going great until Merry's father shows up. Now she has more secrets than ever. Her fathers here, her real job as Amber Finch the creator of Max's niece and nephews favorite characters, and other secrets about Max's family's greatest creation. Can she trust him, believe in him enough to let go and really love him? Can Max make her see who she really is. Not her father or mother, but a beautiful woman worthy of love and her own happy ending? Or will her father once again cause her to lose everything she holds dear?

I love the quirky town of Bliss and all the couples who have found love there. Max and Merry's story is as unique as all the others and had me flipping pages waiting to see what would happen next. They are perfect for each other, excerpt for the tiny issue of Merry's dad being a jewel thief and Max's family owning a jewelry store. There are a lot of secrets that Max is not aware of, but as they Merry opens up to him, he realizes how much Merry has sacrificed for her family. There humor and heartbreak to go with the romance and undeniable chemistry between them. While not necessary to read the previous books in the series, I do highly recommend them. 4.5 stars I received an ARC from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review, all conclusions are my own.

Bliss, Illinois is a town that is all about weddings. They have a Snow Bride Festival complete with a massive cake monument. They have wedding planners and every kind of shop that a bride might need to plan a wedding. Merry Silver and her Mom are there for her Mom's seventh wedding. Patrick seems like a good guy and Merry hopes her Mom sees him as a keeper. Merry is no stranger to Bliss. She had been seeing Max last year when she found out his family owns the jewelry store in town. That caused problems for Merry because her Dad is a jewel thief. Max's family store is the home of the famous Mrs. Claus diamond ring. Merry is worried that her Dad is going to steal it. The people in Bliss are as interesting as the town. There is even a famous country music star. Jamie Farrell has created a delightful series that is fun, full of laughs and interesting people. All is not blissful in Bliss. People have real struggles and sometimes have to fight for true love. Each book individual but still ties into the series. I always look forward to the next book from Bliss!

Another adorable read by Jamie Farrell. This is the 5th book in the Misfit Bride series but can be read as a stand alone. Max & Merry are just a awesome couple- their road to romance is sweet, sexy, heart breaking at moments, & just plain funny. I adore a book where you lose track of time reading & this is one of those for sure. I loved how the story of 2 people who on the surface (a daughter of a jewel thief & a jeweler) are "enemies" can find a second chance at love & forgiveness & acceptance of their past. Just a really great read! Book provided by the author in exchange for an honest review

Merried is book five in the Misfit Brides series by Jamie Farrell. This book was generously provided to me in exchange for an honest review by the author. I need to start this review by stating the fact that I read romance books, lots and lots of romance books. Sometimes they all tend to run together. Then, you come across that one that just stops you in your tracks. This book was sweet, quirky, unique, heart breaking, sexy, and so much more. I didn’t just love this book, I LOVED this book! Meredith (Merry) Silver is in Bliss, Illinois for her mother’s wedding. This will be her mother’s seventh husband. All she has to do is get through this week. And then she will be leaving. Not only this town but the country. Merry is running away to France. It’s her last ditch effort to get away from the influence of her father’s chosen profession. You see, Merry’s father is Nicholas Raymond, jewel thief. “Dating a jeweler was inviting Daddy to his own personal playground.” Merry’s father was her mother’s first husband. She and her mother were not always as close as they are now. In fact, when she was in her early teens, she hated her mother because she took her away from her father. She didn’t understand back then the full scope of what her father did. But why did her mother have to choose Bliss for this wedding? Of all towns, Bliss is where the man she dated a year ago and who she left with no explanation, lives. He was the only man she had really ever cared for, who made her feel normal. But when she found out what he and his family did for a living, she had to leave. You see, his family owned a jewelry store. “Max Gregory was dangerous. But only to Merry’s heart.” Max Gregory had never really gotten over Merry. He had been falling for her. And then, one day, she was just gone. No forwarding address, phone disconnected. He was worried sick about her. And then he found out who her father was. One year later, she just appears in Bliss. Is this a second chance for them? Or is she here for some other reason? Maybe she’s working for her father? The jewelry store his family owns and where he works is famous for a very special diamond his grandfather designed, the Mrs. Claus diamond. Maybe Merry is planning to help her father steal it. “He wanted her to remember who they’d been last year. He wanted her to let him in. He wanted her to be here for him. Not for her mother. Not because of her father. He wanted to strip her down to just her, to learn her, to know her, to be able to trust her.” As Max and Merry try to find their way together, there is so much else going on. There is a crazy owl that keeps attacking Merry. Of course, her father shows up in town and she is convinced that he is there to steal the diamond. She has to protect Max’s store. But how? Merry is carrying the responsibility of both her parents on her shoulders. Of her father’s past sins and her mother’s endless string of husbands. I don’t think I’ve ever loved a heroine as much as I loved this woman. I just wanted to scoop her out of the book and hug her tight. All she wanted was a normal life with friends and love and maybe even the white picket fence and a couple of kids. But none of that is possible for her. Let’s not even get started on how Merry earns her living. She is brilliant. But she can’t tell anyone. She can’t share her success with anyone. It broke my heart. “She didn’t connect with people. She didn’t get close.
