We received this as a gift before the baby was born, and frankly, forgot about it until she was about 6 months old. She does seem to enjoy playing with it, but looses interest more quickly than she does with other toys. It would probably be more appealing to her if it made crinkle sounds or had teether rings like some other soft books. The book only really provides one form of entertainment for her though, which is flapping the animal faces (they are felt flaps that are satin stitched to the book along the top). The books that have various textures, sounds, etc seem much more appealing to her at this age.
