Mia St. Clair is a ten-year-old girl living in upstate New York. She has grown up playing ice hockey wit her three older brothers on the pond behind their house. Mia's got the skills and the scrappiness it takes to be a star hockey player, but she's tired of skating in her brothers' shadows and has decided to follow her heart and pursue figure skating instead. Does she have what it takes to grow and compete as a figure skaters? When a new coach arrives, Mia finds herself gently pushed by the coach at the same time that she's pulled by her brothers. Can she stay true to her heart and follow her own path? Can she hold her own in a world of competitive skating?

I love this book. Its about trying to do your best and find your talent. I think you should get it right away and then read the next. I also love the full-color pictures. Follow my advice and buy it. Then click yes if you like it. P.S.- The next one is called Bravo, Mia.

Mia is beautifully written by Mr. Yep. I am a figure skater, and the book is so inspiring, considering mia is younger and better than me.

Mia is well written. It is perfect for a girl who skates or who is just interested in the world of skating. Actually its just a great book. If you do skate it feels very familiar. It has a character who is driven, hardworking, and fun.

Hug her everyday and tell her you love her. And maybe make her breakfast on the weekend (if youre able to) or do some chores you can do well around the house without her asking you to and without complaining (and without destroying anything or making a mess). Hope this helps -elijah
