Guillermo J. Grenier, director of the Florida Center for Labor Research and Studies and chairman of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Florida International University, is author of Inhuman Relations: Quality Circles and Anti-Unionism in American Industry and coauthor of Employee Participation and Labor Law in the American Workplace. Alex Stepick III is director of the comparative sociology graduate program and associate professor of anthropology and sociology at Florida International University. In 1998 he earned the Margaret Mead Award from the American Anthropological Association for his work with Haitian refugees. He is the coauthor of Social Inequality in Oaxaca: A History of Resistance and Change.
