Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life by James Patterson, Chris Tebbetts, Laura Park

Bestselling author James Patterson's most beloved middle grade protagonist, Rafe Khatchadorian, is getting the Hollywood treatment! A film version of Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life starring Griffin Gluck, Lauren Graham, Rob Riggle, and Thomas Barbusca smashes into theaters in October 2016.

In his acclaimed and number-one bestselling middle-grade comic debut, Children's Choice Award Author of the Year James Patterson has never been more hilarious--or heartwarming. Rafe Khatchadorian has enough problems at home without throwing his first year of middle school into the mix. Luckily, he's got an ace plan for the best year ever, if only he can pull it off: With his best friend Leonardo the Silent awarding him points, Rafe tries to break every rule in his school's oppressive Code of Conduct. Chewing gum in class--5,000 points! Running in the hallway--10,000 points! Pulling the fire alarm--50,000 points! But when Rafe's game starts to catch up with him, he'll have to decide if winning is all that matters, or if he's finally ready to face the rules, bullies, and truths he's been avoiding.

James Patterson's debut middle-grade novel addresses some of middle schoolers' biggest issues: bullies, first crushes, and finding out what makes each of us special, all with a hilarious main character and fantastic in-text illustrations that are sure to have young readers begging for more!

This is a fun book and we have all kids my age have had to have that first day in Middle School. There is a " Miller The Killer" in all schools and this book made me laugh having been in some the same situations. The book is funny and any middle school student will get a real kick out of this book. The drawing will remind you of Diary Of A Wimpy Kid and The Defense Of Thaddeus Ledbetter. They are cool. Read it! You will like it!

I am 11 years old in 6th grade and the title got me thinking that school really is the worst. Especially when your dealing with the dress codes, tardy slips, and extra homework. I personaly think that this book is better than anything i yave ever read. Even better than the entire series of diary of a wimpy kid and i wish there is going to be another one.

This Book was the best book I¿ve ever read. I¿m not much of a reader, but this one was pretty good. The author meant for it to be entertaining. I think anyone with a humors and jokeful personality would love this book. I have that personality, so now you know why I liked this so much. It wasn¿t that funny, but it really interested me. The book¿s about a boy who starts a new point in his life, but doesn¿t enjoy it very well. He¿s bullied, changed, and disappointed. After a little more, you start to think he¿s a hot shot. The book has a lot of mixed feelings. I don¿t think that it should be a comedy because it wasn¿t as funny as it said it was going to be. I think he should have made it a little bit funnier. He did an awesome job with getting the message (don¿t let your surroundings change you) across. I personally think it was better than The Giver. I¿m saying this because; I¿m a funny, outgoing, jokey type of person. So, in my opinion, I think that The Giver, compared to this book, was boring.Overall, besides the ¿¿humorous¿¿ parts, and the settings, it was pretty awesome. I recommend it for people ages 10-16 read it. It¿ll really keep you interested and busy. I think it¿s because it¿s written by James Patterson. He¿s an awesome writer.I would definitely read this book I was a 10-16 year old kid (I¿m 13). I absolutely loved it! If you can get me to say that, then the book was pretty good because I absolutely, positively hate reading! AWESOME BOOK!!!
