Midnight Moon by August Alexander

Sisters Elizabeth and Alyssa Cromwell reside in the town of Pensacola, Florida. There, the sisters enjoy a carefree adolescence filled with fresh air and sun. In the midst of the summer bliss, Elizabeth Cromwell prepares for her swiftly approaching journey to Pensacola Junior College, where she'll leave her mother and younger sister behind.

Just as she begins the new chapter in her life by forming friendships and experiencing the hint of a blossoming romance, fate intervenes. Out for an evening stroll to a local bookstore, the unexpected attack of an assailant irrevocably alters the course of Elizabeth's future. Facing the prospect of her untimely death, she escapes the hands of death only by becoming death itself.

The beautiful and mesmerizing Caleb Macbeth turns Elizabeth into a vampire, a transformation that bears many new trials, tribulations, and scintillating possibilities. Forced to embrace her new lot in life, Elizabeth embarks on an endless journey as she toes the line between the two worlds of fantasy and reality.

Though she quickly acclimates to a life spent in shadows, Elizabeth finds herself at the center of an inveterate vampire feud. Vladimir, a vampire from the ancient world, learns of Elizabeth' s sister, Alyssa. Believing Alyssa to be a very gifted human, Vladimir sets out to find and turn her.

Will Elizabeth prevail and save her sister? Or will Alyssa meet her end?

Awful! I don't like to write bad reviews, but I just could not possibly keep quiet about this book.  It could possibly be one of the worst books that I have ever read.  The writing style is not only juvenile, but the plot (what there is of one) is ridiculous.  If you are a YA reader, this may  be the book for you, but as an adult reader, please don't waste your money.

I bought this book for my daughter because she loves the vampire thing and a couple days after reading the book she was like ''mom you have got to read this.'' So I was like ok. When I finished this book I was completely amazed. It was not only great to read but it touched me. The plot of this story is really good and the way the author writes is just unbelievable. I hope that the author writes more books.
