This book appears to be a great book if you don't know anything about Security+. It covers mutliple areas of security. I read the book and fully understood it. I passed the exams with 90%+ scores consistantly. I failed the test. The vast majority of test questions didn't reflect was was covered in the book. I would recommend another study source....as I am in the process of now.

I purchased this book from Barnes and Nobel in preparation for studying for the compTIA Security+ Exam. I Studied for two months, and consistently scored in the high 90% on the accompanying CD which came with the book. I failed the Security+ exam. No doubt you will write off this failure to my level of intelligence or poor preparation skills. However, I have a BS in Computer Science. I hold the Cisco Certified Network Associates Certification (CCNA), the Cisco Certified Network Professional Certification (CCNP). I have ten years experience working in an Information Technology Departments. I am currently working of a High-Tech business which provides Internet Security. This book did not cover much of the material in the Security+ exam. What material was covered was at such a high-level it lacked relevance. In addition, it is incorrect about manyy of the topics discussed. I have contacted the author and requested a refund.
