If you haven't read any of this series, now is the time to get started. It's hard to believe that this is the 8th book about Ellie and friends. Seems like only yesterday that I "discovered" Sara Rosett. I remember when Livvy and Nathan were mere babes, and the excitement and ordeals that Ellie endured when her hubby, Mitch, was being transferred from base to base with his Air Force career. I have enjoyed every book, starting with Moving is Murder and ending, so far, with this current one. I have to giggle at Sara's infatuation with the letter "M", and wonder what will be the  next title and if she will move on to another letter. I so admire all of the authors I read, how do they keep their stories so different, but never lose sight of the characters quirks.  I used to think I might want to be an author, but have discovered that I am a much better reader than writer. I am fortunate to have "met" so many authors through social networks, and to have joined their Street Teams, to get the word out about them and their books. If I had to name my favorite author, I couldn't do it. All I can say is the cozy genre is my favorite, and the author I am reading at any given time is my favorite. Yesterday and today it was Sara, and now will be another one, as I continue my journey to read every cozy I can get my hands on.

For all mystery lovers this series is a fun "who done it". I have gotten to know the characters as I have read each new book. The characters are comfortable and realistic. This series is light and easy to read but the mystery is always thought provoking and enjoyable to solve.

Ellie Avery planned a perfect family getaway: fun in the sun on Florida’s Gulf Coast, with a side visit to the eBay vendor who’d mistakenly sent her the wrong handbag. But what should have been a simple exchange turns into a fatal transaction when Ellie discovers Angela495 floating face-down in her pool. With some savvy snooping, Ellie learns that Angela’s dangerous double life included blackmail, compromising photos, and a scandalous secret that threatens a local celeb. When a kidnapping shatters her family’s safety, Ellie leaves the white sands behind to face down a killer whose warm Southern charm masks a cold, cold heart. Dollycas’s Thoughts I was late to the Ellie Avery party, this being just the 2nd book in the series I have read but I have definite plans to read all of them. I have fallen hard for this Air Force wife and organizer extraordinaire. She lands herself in the most unexpected circumstances. She also has a man by her side that trusts her through thick and thin and even tags along as she tries to catch the killer. These are solid well plotted mysteries that engage the reader from the first word until the last. The characters feel like neighbors that could live down the street with the exception of the murder here and there. Mitch and Ellie are great parents and family comes first. In this installment the kids were with Aunt Summer and Ellie’s brother Ben was her trusty sidekick until Mitch arrived for what he thought was going to be a few days of rest and relaxation. When he found out his kids could be in danger he was right beside Ben and Ellie putting a plan together. This book is able to be read as a stand alone easily but I want to go back to the beginning to see Livvy and Nathan grow and the family adapt to Air Force life. I so enjoyed the computer organization tips from learning to back things up properly to the Social Media Organization Tool Hoot Suite. I signed up for the Free level and am loving it! If you love cozies you will love the Averys! Start with this one or start at the beginning, you will not be disappointed!!
