Fantastic read, so glad to have read this book. It explains how to apply a system of note taking called mind maps. I had never heard of it before so I was a bit hesitant, thinking it would be very complicated or require a lot of effort. Although it takes some practice, it’s surprisingly easy and simple to learn. Even though the tool is quite easy, there is a lot one can do and accomplish with it. Just about any activity can be improved or made easier with mind maps. First and foremost, it’s great for learning, helping users to better absorb and digest material. It works really well when trying to organize your thinking such as in writing, planning, or research. The most beneficial aspect of mind maps is in managing complex tasks like project management or learning a foreign language. I found this book to be both a concise and comprehensive description of mind mapping. The reading is very comfortable, with plenty of real world examples. In fact, every use the author suggests is followed with an illustrative example, making learning the system natural and fluid. There is never any confusion or doubt about what to do or how. You can tell the author has done his homework on the subject. I strongly recommend to anyone to complement their daily life

This is an all-inclusive look into the world of mind mapping. If you've never heard of mind maps before, it's a way to take notes that helps you better learn and remember information. The reason it works better is because it more closely mimics how the brain processes thoughts and ideas. Because of this, mind maps enhance other mental tasks especially those involving brainstorming and creativity. In short, for me this book was a real treat. I've used mind mapping with great effectiveness, but mainly in academics for learning and studying. This book opened up a whole sphere of uses for me, making me more effective in many areas of my life such as in planning, decision making, and even writing. It not only explains the concept, but how to use it correctly. It gives you a wide variety of ideas for its application with detailed instructions and examples so you know you are doing it correctly. I haven't found a mind mapping book that is as extensive with detailed, illustrative examples as this one. More than making you a good mind mapper, Taylor also teaches you effective note-taking, listening, reading, and learning strategies for lifelong success. I encourage reading it, the information may prove invaluable for you

I love mind maps, I use them for just about all my tasks and I've read many Mind Map books over the years. I recently came across this one and I loved it, its my favorite one I've read so far. It has a great introduction that explains the benefits of mind mapping and walks you through the simple steps of putting one together for yourself. It talks about all different things you can add and variations you can make to enhance organization of the information. It also discusses all the different areas mind maps can be used, some I've never heard before, but I'm finding incredibly useful. The thing I like the most is that the instructions are easy to follow with many real word uses and examples. If you've never heard of mind maps or have been curious about them, I suggest giving this book a try.
