i love their other books...but this new book is rather disjointed and stiff at least to me.... the flow isnt there...and to be honest the chemistry is lacking.. i can only hope they dont forget the other series and spend the time and effort with those characters theyve made it so easy to enjoy...
Mind Over Murder was my “airplane” book on a recent trip, and it was perfect. We had a several hour -flight delay so I needed something good to divert me, and Mind Over Murder was just the ticket. The book features two married psychics who are engaging and likeable. They are re-visiting an old case because a new murder with similarities has occurred… and more occur as the book goes on. Their psychic abilities misfire some of the time which adds to the suspense and the credibility. The authors do a good job of planting red herrings before bringing out the real killer. The authors run an antique business together which provides an interesting backdrop for the mystery. I can’t close my comments without mentioning the dog: Houdini is a giant German shepherd who has no guard dog abilities except looking scary and provides additional humor to the book. I expect Jake and Val will be back again, but I put in a vote for the return of Houdini as well…maybe with some additional guard-dog training.
Loved this book. I loved the characters and the story line was intense! Great job ladies!!!
