No matter how hard you try to remain skeptical of both sides of this argument, Christianity consistently emerges victorious. As a senior in high school, I was forced to transfer (for financial reasons) from perochial school to public school. At first this didn't seem too bad - the larger school environment and better learning technology appealed greatly to me. For Christmas that year I received a copy of Dr. Kent Hovind's (www.drdino.com) 7-DVD seminar series, which intrigued and led me to pursue more information about subjects such as evolution, socialism, and the New World Order. This book was one of the sources that I happened to come across, and has been one of the most eye-opening factors of my entire investigation. Since I had educated myself thoroughly on these subjects, it was frightening how much subconcious indoctrination I realized is fed into students' minds in the public school classroom. IT IS NOT WISE TO RESERVE YOUR SKEPTICISM PERMANENTLY TOWARDS ONE SIDE OF ANY ARGUMENT! EVOLUTIONISTS AND HUMANISTS, GET OFF YOUR HIGH HORSES AND TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT YOU ARE TEACHING THE NEXT GENERATION OF AMERICANS!!! The bible says: 'Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.' Think about it, and share this book with as many people as you can.

Well, read the book, then reread the comments by the other reviewers who oppose this book, and you'll have a few examples. I know one of them said that there was no evidence for the arguments in this book, but in reality, it's chock full of them. I even took a pen and underlined everything in the first chapter, 'It could happen...' that had actually happened to me. At least thirteen I've had firsthand experience with. They may seem like way-out-there experiences, but they really do happen, TODAY. The book has a lot of evidence too, whatever that other 'reviewer' said. Anyway, I'm also not sure that our country was founded on liberty and tolerance. Liberty and God would be accurate. Tolerance for people, but not for immoral/amoral ideas and actions. Goodness, soon we'll have to be tolerant of murderers. I'd seriously recommend this book. Great introduction to the subject.

the very premise of this book is enough for me to question the mental capacity of the author. the book is a reactionary view of the modern world written by a man frightened by change, and encouraged by bigotry, hate, and theocratic fanaticism. should be great starting literature of some cult out in montana. i'm surprised pat robertson isn't handing them out at his events! the basic premise: don't trust anyone or anything that purports to be true unless that thing is christianity or right wing pac's. evolution? evidence? nope. follow jesus. social sciences? psychology? nope. be one with god. history? sure, listen to rush limbaugh! anyone that believes this is a serious threat to society and the intellectual heritage that it has built.

For those without the intellect or discipline to undertake the serious study of the physical and social sciences, this simplistic, little piece of pseudo-truth should be right up your alley! Unfortunately, in place of rational, educated, balanced dialogue fearful, intolerant junk such of this gets published.save your dollar for a better read.

This was eye-opening. The thing that most worries me is how closed (intolerant) the government schools are to any ideas that might be called Judeo-Christian. Those ideas, by the way, are what created a country in which true tolerance could exist. I read a quote from US News that there are 10,000 Marxist professors on American campuses. They're not open-minded. Want to go experience tolerance in a Marxist or Communist country?

This excellent book is not a moment too soon. I applaude any effort to wake the church of Christ out of it's long slumber. While Christians have concerned themselves with petty denominational differences, the cultural arenas of our nation have been left to those who would rip away the at the fabric of our society- it's Christian heritage. Tim Lahaye's battle cry is certainly a timely one. All Christians should think long and hard about the ideas presented in this book.
