Tessa was prepared for the hurricane. Lindsey was the storm she didn’t see coming.

When Tessa Taylor unlocked her husband Ethan’s iPad to discover nude photos from a twenty-six-year-old bombshell named Lindsey, her seemingly perfect life came to a screeching halt.

With a hurricane barreling toward Florida and Ethan stuck on a business trip, Tessa finds herself imprisoned in her own home with a choice to make: Does she ride out the storm until she can confront Ethan in person, or does she take matters into her own hands?

Increasingly restless and desperate for revenge, Tessa resolves to act. And when she lures Lindsey over a few hours later, there’s no turning back.

What ensues is a battle of wills between two well-matched opponents, blinded by love for the same man but driven by demons of their own. Like storm-ravaged Florida, neither woman will be the same when the skies clear.

He’s mine. Both wife and mistress would stake their lives on it. But only one of them can be right.

What a remarkable emotional journey from start to finish! I thought the author did a fantastic job of shining a light on the fears of many married women. I loved the counterpoint of the storm raging outside that paralleled the one inside Tessa’s house. There were quite a few good twists, including the way that the author handled the alternating viewpoints of Tessa and Lindsay. I thought there was a part with one of Tessa’s children that had the potential to be more, but kind of went nowhere, and that the book ended rather abruptly. But overall, it was an excellent read, and I highly recommend it. Check my blog at Fireflies and Free Kicks Fiction Reviews for some other thoughts on the story. Thank you to Gallery Books (via NetGalley) for the opportunity to read a complimentary digital ARC of this book.

Two women, Tessa the wife and Lindsey the mistress locked in an all out battle to win Ethan, the man they both love. The tempestuous face to face confrontation between the women is not the only storm on the horizon since there is a very real hurricane approaching which threatens the lives and futures of both women. This is one of those tales of infidelity and discovery told from the perspectives of both women and while I can’t truly relate to the scenario, the author has done an excellent job of providing readers with an engrossing read. On a more personal note: I have never understood women who fixate on one man and feel that he is the “only one” that can satisfy them and make them happy and that without this man they can never be truly happy and fulfilled. Choosing to take a more realistic view I am of the opinion that men are like buses or trains. If you miss this one, there will be another one along in a few minutes. 3 1/2 stars

After reading the blurb for MINE, I was immediately intrigued. This book had me addicted from the start. The emotion acted out on the audiobook was amazing. I didn’t want to shut it off. You can’t help but feel everything Tessa is feeling. I constantly fought a war with myself because I wanted to jump ahead so bad. The anticipation of what was to come was that great. All in all I was glad I didn’t. When I started I couldn’t fathom where this story would go and could never predict where they’d end up.

Tessa is driving her children Connor, 18, and Ava, 15, to Atlanta for their annual 3-week visit with their grandparents. Her third child, Colt, is doing an internship for the summer. Tessa’s husband, Ethan, is supposed to return tonight from a business trip to New York, and she needs to get back to her home in Florida. Tessa runs her own successful cosmetic business which means she travels a lot, as well as Ethan who is a successful architect. On the way home, she hears on the radio that a storm heading her way has quickly turned into Hurricane Fiona. That’s when Ethan calls to say he is delayed in New York for another night. Arriving at home, Tessa quickly closes all the storm shutters and gathers together some candles should she lose electricity. Her daughter, Ava, inadvertently took her Mom’s iPad with her so Tessa grabs Ethan’s to keep up with the news. There, she sees texts from a woman named Lindsey who is obviously having an affair with Ethan. Furious, Tessa plots revenge. She texts Lindsey posing as Ethan and invites her to their home for some kinky sex. What happens after that is a night readers will never forget. Whew. This was pretty intense and quite good. However, in my opinion, NO man is worth that. Kick the jerk to the curb. This is a good book. Enjoy! Copy provided by NetGalley in exchange for a fair and honest review.

What happens when a wife and a mistress meet during a hurricane? Explosions and fireworks! Tessa Taylor discovers by accident her husband Ethan has been having an affair with a twenty-something year old. Alone in their home she takes it upon herself to invite Ethan's "girlfriend" Lindsey over pretending to be him. As a hurricane battles the Florida house, inside the women battle each other over who Ethan really belongs to. And nothing is really what it seems as the women rehash their different relationships with Ethan. Is it Tessa, his wife of twenty years, the mother of his three children or Lindsey, the girl in nursing school who has a young son staying with her mother in another state as she tries to better herself and to whom Ethan has told he loves and would leave his wife for? Should Tessa really believe her? Should Lindsey really believe Tessa? As the night progresses and Ethan who is out of town and unable to get back to Florida due to the hurricane finds out that Tessa now knows his dark secret he. tries to keep tabs on both women not realizing they are actually together. But in Mine it becomes a dance of sorts between Tessa and Lindsey as to who loves Ethan more, and which woman he really loves and finally who will win him in the end. An incredible book of betrayal, love and forgiveness I could not put it down and finished it in two days!

Most people who have experienced infidelity have at least thought about confronting the other woman or man, about getting answers, and about some kind of revenge. Most people have to think about the consequences of certain actions, about how doing what they really want to do would affect their children and others around them, about where they go from here - but what if they didn't? That's where Mine comes in. Some things about the story were a little over the top, and in all honesty, I didn't agree with the actions of any of these characters. However, having been in Tessa's shoes, I can understand what drove her. As for Lindsey, the other woman, we get her story in a series of flashbacks throughout the book. Of course, we aren't meant to like her, but it's pretty clear that she's a bit unhinged. Oh, and let's not forget that everything other than Lindsey's flashbacks are happening in the middle of a category four hurricane, and the man in the middle is stuck in New York, so intervention isn't coming any time soon. All of that creates a tension-filled atmosphere, and regardless of how I felt about any particular character, I couldn't help but cheer a little for Tessa at times, and even though I hate to admit it, I felt a bit sorry for Lindsey at certain points in the story. In the end, we don't exactly get a clearly defined outcome, especially for Tessa, but it is fitting given the circumstances, and if you're like me, you'll put yourself in Tessa's shoes and ponder what you think should come next.

Heartbreaking but so so good. You really can't blame Tessa for her reaction to finding out she was being cheated on, by her husband, with a young dumb-dumb. Seeing the lengths that Lindsey decided to go to, in order to take what wasn't hers had me so fired up! I did enjoy Tessa speaking up to let Ethan know she was on the call. I do wish I could've been a part of a face to face conversation, with those two.

As I read this book - all in one sitting because I couldn't put it down - I kept asking myself how she is able to write with such staggering & painful accuracy. At the end of the book I found out why. This was a great one, as usual

I enjoyed this book. Tessa has been married to Ethan for 20 years, they have the perfect life. Big house, kids, dog, great careers. Tessa is alone -Ethan is on a business trip, she unlocks he iPad and finds out he is having a serious affair. This is in Florida and there is a hurricane. on the way. Tessa is stunned and goes on the attack. Since Ethan is not around, she goes after the girlfriend. This story is raw. The writing is very good, and I found few errors. A good psychological novel worth a read.

Holy Moly… Ummm, is Tessa a good person? Is she psychotic? I think the answer to both of these questions is YES! Tessa is a good person, she loves her husband and kids, she’s worked hard to start her own business, and she has friends. Yet when she finds out that her husband is cheating on her she loses it. She tricks Lindsey, the mistress, to come over and then they are stuck together during the hurricane. I liked how Tessa’s good side came out even when she wasn’t being nice to Lindsey. She did little things, said little words, just to show that she wasn’t as bad as she was appearing to be. I also liked that she didn’t just roll over and pretend all was fine when it really wasn’t This is a psychotic thriller. There are twists that I didn’t see coming but I enjoyed reading Mine by Courtney Cole.

What an unforgettably captivating read this is! I was hooked from the first couple of pages to the very end of this story that includes love, marriage, infidelity, revenge, coping and learning to accept just to name a few of the emotions I came across while reading in this book. Tessa and Ethan Taylor are a rich, successful couple with 3 high achieving teen-age children. Ethan decides to go on a dating site and meets much younger, beautiful, Lindsay Vale, a single mother working as a secretary and going to college nights studying nursing. As a hurricane rages outside, the two women meet and you will not be able to put this book down. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this very suspenseful book. If I could, I would give this book more than 5 stars.

So, what happens when the wife and the mistress collide into each other during a category four hurricanes on the Florida coast? MINE happens. Outstanding from the first page. MINE is an addictive story that took hold of my heart and mind. I read this book in less than two days. There were times that my whole body was shaking, knowing that this type of betrayal can happen in any marriage. I love the way Courtney Cole writes. Her words jump off the page, and this book is no exception. The story is a constant flow of psychological tension between two women, Tessa the wife and Lindsey the mistress, who are both in love with the same man, Ethan. The story is told from a dual point of view, going between Tessa and Lindsey, allowing the reader to get both sides of the story. There is drama, infidelity, revenge, and heartbreak. Betrayal on so many levels that it made my head spin. Also, even some twists I didn't see coming. The author's character development was painstakingly perfect. Allowing the reader to get to know the characters and watch them gradually develop when they are both confronted with events they never saw coming. I have to say that I could realistically befriend the Tessa character. She was a wonderful mother, wife, and successful businesswoman, but the essential part of her life was the love she had for her family. Lindsey was a pathetic piece of work; there were times I wanted to smack her. Right. Across. The. Face. I went between hating her and pitying her — the kind of character you love to hate. Ethan, the lying, cheating husband, I only have one word that describes him, scumbag. MINE is a book that will have every married woman checking her husband's phone. Also, every mistress wondering if "he" is worth it. ***I kindly received this galley by way of NetGalley/Gallery Books/author. I was not contacted, asked, or required to leave a review. I received no compensation, financial or otherwise. I have voluntarily read this book, and this review is my honest opinion .***

Tessa thought her and her husband were about to embark on a much needed little getaway, but then her husband calls last minute to change their plans, just as a hurricane is hitting outdoors. With the storm brewing, their children already away for the weekend, she begins to poke around the house a bit and runs across her husbands iPad, and a little secret that he has been keeping from her. One that she never saw coming, one that leaves her reeling, wanting a little revenge, and a whole lot of answers! Her husband has a mistress and she is about to put a plan in motion that could change everything... With a storm raging outside, these two women are thrust together to weather an deeply emotional storm of sorts indoors, and things quickly get out of control! Mine is a dramatic little page-turner that is riddled with unexpected twists and turns that will leave your head spinning. The moment I cracked the cover on this one I felt an addiction settle over me, one that lead me on a little late night reading marathon. I was so engrossed with the words on the pages that I momentarily forgot about the world around me, and wound up devouring it in one sitting!! This one will push your personal boundaries, make you question everything you read, and have you teetering on the edge of your seat the whole way through! If you like domestic suspense novels then this one will be right up your alley, it's perfectly crafted words will unravel your emotions, steal the breath from your lungs, and leave you saying WOW!! Highly recommend! I requested an advanced copy of this title from NetGalley, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.

OMG that was intense. I finished MINE in one sitting... I couldn't turn the pages fast enough.I love Courtney Cole and this book kept me on the edge of my seat in suspense, heart racing and wondering how it would all turn out.Tessa has just realized the imaginable... her beloved husband and father to her three beautiful children has been cheating on her for months with Lindsay, a twenty-something beautiful woman that gives his ego the much-needed boost it needs. There is a category 4 hurricane headed her way and what better than to lure the cheater to her home to get the answers she is seeking. But at what cost? How this all went down was INSANE and total 360 to Tessa's normal character. But who could blame her?! My emotions ran the gamut... I was livid, sad, pissed, hopeful... hopeful that Ethan had SOME DAMN GOOD reason for his indiscretions other than being selfish.Unfortunately marriage is hard... navigating life with children and work and being busy and tired is something that happens in all marriages. It's how you weather the storm and deal with those minor blips that will show your true character, your true heart and how deserving you are of your spouse. If I were in Tessa's place, I would have probably done the same because when you have children and love someone with all of your heart and soul, you want to keep what's yours... you want that happily ever after, through better and worse.I would have loved an epilogue... the end felt unfinished and rushed. I am a true romantic and if Ethan had shown his sorrow and some kind of redeeming quality, I would have wanted them to end up together, working on their marriage and love for themselves and their children. So I feel slightly cheated that we got nothing... In my heart, I am hoping and imagining the best outcome for them because these situations DO happen, they aren't ideal but I always want love to win.

Lies, betrayal, drama, and heartbreak are all masterfully woven into this psychological thriller that has the wife confronting the mistress in the middle of a major hurricane. It’s a fast read as I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. Is it realistic? I’d say half of it is a no, but it sure was entertaining to read. Tess does what every betrayed wife usually fantasizes to do. Mine is an interesting, fast-paced book that is told from both women’s POV (the wife and the mistress). The dual perspectives on the affair really makes the story and I liked how each were portrayed. The emotion was real, raw, and sometimes frightening.

Tessa and her husband, Ethan, live in a wealthy area of Florida. They have three children; Colton (21) is in college, Connor (18) and Ava (15). Tessa drives her two youngest children to their grandparents house for a 3 week stay. During the 5 hour drive home, Tessa is close to being in the midst of a hurricane. When she is on the road, her husband calls her and says a big deal is making him stay another night out of town. In the midst of the hurricane's beginning, Tessa boards up the house's 45 windows in an hour. (Not bad for a 40-year-old woman!) Ava had to take her mom's IPAD (she couldn't find her own) so Tessa uses Ethan's. She is not happy with what she finds. You see, his phone and IPAD are paired. Ethan is having an affair with someone called Lindsey or so it seems... The book continues on in a manner that syncs real time and the past. Real time has to do with the hurricane and Lindsey with Tessa. The past is mainly Ethan with Lindsey (his mistress) .For someone who has already been with a man and had a son at 17, 26-year-old Lindsey hasn't seemed to have learned anything. Her son lives with his grandma out west so Lindsey can go to nursing school. And fool around with Ethan. Although the read has a great premise, I found myself getting aa bit tired of the interactions between Tessa and Lindsey. Later in the read (as the hurricane is still raging) Tessa's son, Colton, comes to the door as Tessa had just knocked Lindsey to the ground .. .It also appears Colton may be off his medicine for hemophilia... A good read! Many thanks to Gallery, Threshold, Pocket Books and NetGalley for the chance to read and review!

Oh man I hate giving bad reviews. I know writers work long hours to put together these labors of love and I often feel unworthy to critique those works. That being said, this book is really unbearably bad. This book reads more like a scorned woman's revenge fantasy that is meant to remain a fantasy because it's too outlandish to bring to fruition. This story is absurd and unbelievable and so ungrounded in real life that it's cringe worthy. 1.5 Stars ⭐ I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

With all her children gone, Tessa is planning a romantic weekend with her husband, Ethan. Until she learns a hurricane is headed right for their Florida home and Ethan is stuck in New York. Storm prep complete, she picks up Ethan’s iPad just in time to see naked selfies from a very young woman named Lindsey. Tessa lures Lindsey to her house, determined to have it out with her. As the storm rages outside, the women rage inside, both learning very uncomfortable truths about the past several months of their lives and the man they both thought they loved. MINE is a compelling suspense novel. Neither Tessa nor Lindsey conform to the stereotypes for the wronged wife and other woman. Tessa is beautiful, successful, and loving. Lindsey is beautiful, manipulative, and vulnerable. Both are flawed but manage to learn some hard truths. Ethan? He deserves whatever revenge they exact on him. #NetGalley
