The Companions, on a quest to find their dying king's grandchild, descend on Minna Pegeen's inn and declare her adopted brother Tabare to be the lost heir of the Sea Kingdom. Against her will, Pegeen abandons her inn to accompany them. During the journey, she becomes servant, advisor, healer, and friend to the Companions and they turn more and more often to her for leadership and wisdom. By the time Tabare is crowned king, the Companions realize they have made a horrible mistake

She writes a weekly column for Veterans, facilitates Writers for All Seasons (a group for adult authors, composers and artists), and teaches Journalism and Critical Thinking Skills at Jewett School of the Arts. He first book, Minna Pegeen, a fantasy novel, was also published by Comfort Publishing. Music is the joy of her life -- she sings every chance she gets, writes music, and directs an all-men's ensemble called Joyful Noise. Spiritual Faith is the hope in her life -- she is an ordained Elder in the Presbyterian USA and in her local church, and facilitates a Prayer Shawl Ministry. Ms. Rainey lives in Bartow, Florida.
