Jim Black has found the perfect way to describe a group of small town boys and the men who led them. This book was very inspirational and is a must read for everyone. I live in this small town and know some of these boys (now men). They are outstanding members of our town and everyone remembers the best time for football in Archer City. Jim is outstanding as always and I can't wait for his next writing project to hit the street. What a great story, I couldn't put it down.

One more true underdog story about a team that didn't know they couldn't win. If you love a story about a team that doesn't have a chance and still bucks the odds, then this is an outstanding story. And if it were just that, (a story) it would be worth reading. But these events actually happend, so it's that much more impressive. Give it a read and you can agree with me later.

If you played high school football, cheered for your high school team, or had children involved in high school sports, "Miracle on the Gridiron will inspire you, entertain you and make you fell like you were a part of a spectacular small town football team in 1964 that accomplished much more than anyone thought possible. Author Jim Black covers all perspectives in this gripping story. I absolutely could not put it down until I was finshed....then I wanted more. If you have someone on your Christmas list who was involved in high school sports this would be a great gift.
