A well written book not unlike Alice in Wonderland or Winnie the Pooh. It has the properties to take us back and let you think of the early lives we led as youths growing up in our towns and neighborhoods with our elders and teachers reading and relating to us the old world fairy stories that were the rage back then. This book will let the children of today enjoy the magical settings and moods portrayed by Amanda in this book. My grandkids loved it.

This is a lovely story. We see our little mischievious characters learn why they have rules and what can happen when the rules get broken, while keeping it real. This story is told in such a loving and inspiring way. This is overall a feel-good book, certainly instilling caring and good values. The story adds wonderment and wonderful descriptive details to spark imagination. I'm certain this will be a new favorite for my special youngster. (I loved it too....)

I was pleasantly surprised with this book, though obviously intended for the younger reader, I was impressed most with the gentle life lessons the characters learned, their willingness to accept their punishement, and how nice and polite they were. Very vivid descriptions, at times I felt as if I were actually in the patch...well done!

A charming and whimsical tale about fairies and their mushroom patch home,"Mischief in the Mushroom Patch" will spark the imaginations of young readers. The story opens with two young fairies, Lilly and Boris, breaking Mushroom Colony rules, and both of them land in serious trouble. After their rescue, Lilly and Boris are in more trouble for disobeying rules and are punished by Mushroom Colony elders. Their punishment includes working in the fairy dust factory for a few days. As the two fairies try to learn the ropes of their important jobs, they work together, and their strong friendship is evident. Though mischievous, Lilly and Boris are good hearted, and their punishment turns into a wonderful learning experience. This delightful book is not only fun to read, but it is a story that teaches the value of friendship, responsibility, and learning from our mistakes. My daughter, who is enchanted by magical books, loved this book and is excited about reading the second book in Ms. Thrasher's series, "A Fairy Match in the Mushroom Patch".

I read "Mischief in the Mushroom Patch" with my wife. I was excited to read the next page even more than the first and this carried on through the entire story. The characters and storyline developed with such rich imagination that I found myself unable to put it down. It is a story that carries young and old(er) to a magical place and doesn't let you go. It is a great read and I am excited that one day my children will be enriched by the magic of the mushroom patch and the dust factory. Thank you to the author and I look forward to another adventure. Sincerely; Keith

I purchased "Mischief in the Mushroom Patch" at christmas and I loved it. I have always been facinated with ferries and with the magic of their dust. This book brought me back to my childhood and all the fond memories of this imaginary world. The author brought the characters to life and I can not imagine a more magical place than the mushroom patch and the dust factory. I purchased this book for my soon-to-be niece knowing that one day I will read it to her and she will love it just as much as I did. Mischief is an imaginative, magical book that children of all ages will love. Sincerely; De-Anne Adams-Chamberlayne

I caught this book at the Hulen store because the author was there to sign it. It looked like a cute story. I read this to my 6 year old and we both loved it! The story tells of friendship and concern, actions and consequences, and the gaining of appreciation for things taken for granted. This one may well become a classic.

This is a really sweet story, loving and thoughtful. My little one wants me to make her some wings - so she can be a fairy too! And it doesn't hurt that she learned more about consequences... we've been working on that. I highly reccomend this book for children.

I thought this was a wonderful book. I enjoyed reading this very much. I like that there is something to learn when you disobey rules. I like the discription of the characters and of the scenery. I felt like I was in the factory working my self. My grandkids will enjoy this book very much.

Bought this book through word of mouth to give to the kids and other young relatives...It is a wonderful, fun-filled story that easily puts a picture in the mind of the reader as if you were actually in the story. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a good, honest, straightforward fairytale.
