On the eve of Saint Valentine’s Day, heiress Marcie Darlington escapes Mistress Cheltenham's School for Young Ladies along with its wicked headmistress—and is nearly run down by the London Mail Coach.
The coach has been commandeered by Cole, the Marquis of Sherringham. Disguised as the coachman, Cole is trying to escape scheming females.
Cole thinks the mischievous Marcie is a runaway ragamuffin.
Marcie thinks Cole is a daredevil coachman.
And Cupid is determined to help this exacting lord and mischievous miss find love.
"A warm, tender Valentine's treat of opposites attract... Ms. Randall displays a wonderful talent for writing humor. I caught myself laughing out loud several times."

An engaging spirited heiress and an aristocratic lord, both of them escaping from their situations. Marcie, from Mistress Cheltenham's School for Young Ladies, fleeing to her godmother's home and Cole, just wanting a short break from his manifold responsibilities (which as a third son he would not have been prepared for) as a Marquis, with a large estate and two widowed sisters in law and their daughters. The events in the book all take place in a 24 hour period, which is rather far-fetched but after all it is Saint Valentines Day, so suspend disbelief and enjoy! This is an honest review of this novel which I received for free from eBook Discovery. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.
I enjoyed this book. This book has great characters and a great pkot. I had a hard time putting this book down.
