Overview

The Mist: (Brume) by Stephen King

This audiobook was unbelievably disturbing and not for the reasons you may expect. I loved the story all the way until the end. My stomach started to flip and I had a very difficult time finishing. The emotions the story brought about for a parent are nearly too much to handle. I don't want to add any spoilers but the climax was heart wrenching. It gave me nightmares. I still loved this story. Even with the roller coaster and nightmares. When going into a Stephen King novel you want to be left with something. I may have bitten off more than I could chew but I do not regret reading it. If you like dark and twisted, you'll love this book. If you've seen the movie, forget it. Read the book.

I preferred the movie's ending, but this was still a really great read. Can't deny that King is an amazing, original writer.
