The Snowflake Inn shows rivals Grace Brodie and Riley Walsh that Christmas is a time when dreams come true-even if you've given up on those dreams long ago.

Two incredible holiday romances that will make your heart sing. Both are beautifully written and remind us of the warmth and love of the season. Mistletoe Between Friends - A wonderful lighthearted friends to lovers story that is perfect to get you in the holiday mood. Cam and Lily have been best friends their whole lives. No one seems to understand either of them the way the other does. Dreading another long holiday season filled with parties and parental "fix ups" they decide to pretend date to avoid all the craziness. Only what starts out innocent soon turns sizzling and they both have to deal with unexpected feelings and families who are over the moon! The Snowflake Inn - Oh man I loved this story!! This is a wonderfully sweet story of a woman looking for love and family and a man who has both but doesn't realize it. Great characters and a story that flows beautifully.
These are some great Christmas romances. Starting with Mistletoe Between Friends is great. The perfect pair of opposites that are best friends, a plot to stop the blind date set-ups for the holidays, and things just lead to so much more. Lily and Cameron have amazing chemistry and they are just far too adorable together. I was rooting for them right from page on and I enjoyed every page of their story. The Snowflake Inn was another great romance, but it didn't hit the same high note that Mistletoe Between Friends did. Grace and Riley are both survivors on different tracks life. Riley is a bit of a jerk for most of the story - which was hard to wrap my head around after such a great feel-good story in Mistletoe. I needed him to turn around faster to really like him. Grace was a strong woman, but she had her weak moments that really made me feel for her. The romance was quite fast to all wrap up. This is a great Christmas duo. Not sure I'd recommend reading them back to back though - just too different. *This book was received in exchange for an honest review*
Even if fall is just upon us, Samantha Chase offers us two previously published novellas in one book to put readers in a festive mood. In THE MISTLETOE BETWEEN FRIENDS, Cameron Greene and Lily Cavanaugh have been best friends since they were toddlers, in spite of having different interests: Cameron is a scientist, serious and an introvert, while Lily is exuberant and impulsive; she has no real career plans, other than doing what makes her happy. While chatting over the phone about yet them both having been on dates set up by their respective matchmaking parents, Cameron comes up with an idea. With Thanksgiving nearly upon them, and their families forever trying to match them with unsuitable people, Cameron suggests that he and Lily pretend to be dating for the Holiday Season, that way they’ll be off the hook for several weeks. Cameron wishes that Lily were a real girlfriend, but he fears losing a friend in the process. Lily has been in love with Cameron for ages, but she doesn’t think she’s good enough for him. Then Cam asks Lily to come with him on a business trip to New York to “rehearse” before facing their families. It can’t be so hard to pretend, can it? THE MISTLETOE BETWEEN FRIENDS is a charming friends to lovers story, and Samantha Chase certainly knows how to put readers in a festive mood. She creates a warm Holiday atmosphere, and I could easily picture myself enjoying Manhattan during the Holiday Season. I liked that there was just enough push and pull to make things interesting, but not so much that Cam and Lily’s hesitations created unnecessary conflicts or misunderstandings. THE MISTLETOE BETWEEN FRIENDS is a lovely romance that will put you in the Holiday spirit! SNOWFLAKE INN is where Riley Walsh doesn’t want to be, but he has to go see his mother. After 12 years in the Marines, Riley is back to being a civilian, and not by choice: he was injured and he doesn’t want a desk job, nor does he want to run the family inn, which is his mother Corrine’s wish. Corrine has been widowed for a long time, and when she was at the rehabilitation centre, she met a lovely young woman, Grace Brodie. Grace had had an accident, and consequently lost her job as a chef in Manhattan, so Corrine offered Grace a job at the inn, as they had become good friends. While Grace was jogging, she had noticed for several days in a row a “Cute Angry Guy” following her, and to her astonishment Corrine’s son Riley is her “Cute Angry Guy”. When Grace and Riley first meet, sparks fly all over the place, but Riley is indeed an angry guy. He wants his mother to sell the inn, and he won’t budge. Riley is really pigheaded, and quite unpleasant, and honestly other than the fact that Grace thinks he’s so hot, I’m not quite sure what she saw in him: he’s selfish, and respecting her privacy is not high on his list of priorities, but he wants her desperately. I suppose sexual chemistry sometimes validates perplexing pairings. I thought Grace came across as rather needy and a bit of a ninny, to be honest, even if she did put in a good argument. On the other hand, there is a second romance in SNOWFLAKE INN which is absolutely wonderful. That other love story did it for me: I felt the deep friendship, the mutual respect, the kindness, and most of all true love. I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I give 3 ½ stars
Two amazing Christmas Set stories, great for an anytime read!!! Mistletoe Between Friends Two best friends from birth. Cameron a nerdy scientist and Lily a creative, fun loving lady. Both secretly having a crush on the other. Cam comes up with a plan for them to start pretend dating, to avoid being set up on horrible blind dates by their parents. Quickly into their dating they both start to wonder if it was really a good idea because it has just increased their feelings. I found myself wondering will they be able to finally admit their feelings which could end better than they ever imagined or will it ruin their friendship for good. I loved this book. It was so sweet and a great best friends to lover story. The way Cam and Lily's differences compliment each other is great. And the way Cam stands up for and defends Lily is so sweet, it tugged at my heart strings. A wonderful Christmas or anytime read!!!! The Snowflake Inn Grace has lost a lot in the last 10 years. So when her new friend Corinne asks Grace to come and help run her Bed and Breakfast, Grace goes. The first six weeks after her move and things are going great, that is until Corinne's son Riley comes home. He is done with his career in the military and is not sure what to do. Although he knows one thing he does not want to take over the B & B. Riley is on a mission to try to get his mom to sell the B & B. This was another wonderful story. I love the setting. I wish it was a true place that I could go and visit. And the characters are great. The way Grace and Riley interact in the beginning you can feel how mad Grace is. I absolutely love Corinne and Ben, they add a lot to the story as well. It ends up Riley can have a loving side and watching that come out just melted my heart. Such a sweet story, I truly enjoyed!!!
Two great holiday stories! Mistletoe Between Friends: A sweet, sexy holiday story. When best friends turn into lovers and you throw in the chaos of family Christmas plans? A wonderful story! Lily and Cameron were adorable. And the ending? Hilarious! The Snowflake Inn: A very, sweet, touching story about Riley and Grace. A bit predictable, but overall a wonderful holiday read.
The gift that keeps on giving. That is my catch phrase for any Samantha Chase novel. Whether in print, digital or reissue this author never disappoints. I'm as hooked on these stories now as I was the very first time I read them. Keeps getting better with time. Mistletoe Between Friends - Cam can rival encyclopedias with his intellectual skills, but his awkward choice of topics can put the kibosh on romance faster than a match can spark a flame. Lily has a flair for the dramatic, her hobbies are interesting and career choices creative. Her flights of fancy, keep her lonely and leave her family questioning her sanity. Take two clueless friends, mix in a couple of matchmaking parents and you have cozy, funny and enchanting. Mistletoe Between Friends is the perfect read for anytime of the year, because it warms from the inside out. The Snowflake Inn - Riley and Grace prove nothing is impossible. If the heart is open and the mind is willing to takes a risk. Hope comes in the form of The Snowflake Inn to a broken hearted dreamer and a frustrated businessman.
