Sophie loved growing up in Harmony Harbor, but she left in disgrace deciding she’d not be back. But when circumstances and a fire left her homeless with her young daughter in tow, she returns. I loved that Sophie could go back to the town she loved, and with plenty of tearful reunions and many of her initial fears subdued, she’s starting to settle back in. Most of all, Mia, her daughter, is captivating and collecting the hearts of all who meet her. Now, Sophie’s large and loud family is solidly that: they love hard and hold grudges twice as long. Most notable is the feud between the two matriarchs of the clans, Irish v Italian, and the clever continuation of the battles they both missed. Liam had always had a crush on Sophie, and seeing her again he’s now reminded of all he lost when she left before she was eighteen, and he told her just how he felt. Now, her return has brought back all of those feelings, and he’s determined to not screw it up this time. Liam is that true stand-up sort of man, always trying to do the right thing, even when it means he won’t get what he wants. But seeing Sophie again, and being captivated by the little Mia, he’s not going to take no for an answer this time. So freaking sweet and cute: Mia is both the secret and the catalyst to much of the story. How can you not love a man (Liam) who actually takes the time to speak to her as a person, not as a child to be dismissed? And you can’t dismiss his wily grandmother whose recognition of Liam’s blue eyes in a tiny female face starts her on a mission to see her grandson happy. With plenty of small town gossip and goodwill, lots of family interference for good and bad, and just enough atmosphere to add a touch of holiday spirit to send the sweet charm factor into overload. This is the perfect book to curl up with if you add cocoa and cookies and a cozy fire. I received an eArc copy of the title from the publisher via NetGalley for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

A sweet, heartwarming romance set in a cozy town you will want to live in! “You make me want things I can’t have,” Sophie said. “Like what?” Liam asked quietly, stroking her hair. “A man to share my life with. A man like you.” Mistletoe Cottage is the exciting debut book in Debbie Mason’s Harmony Harbor series and the first book I ever read by Debbie. I was initially attracted to this book by its Christmassy cover which happened to be on display at my library. It is a sweet, heartwarming romance featuring a woman who has been left no choice but to return to Harmony Harbor after leaving it in disgrace eight years ago, a firefighter who was in love with her back then and a blue-eyed little girl whose tall Christmas wish to Santa is for a loving and stable family home. This is the second chance at love story of Liam Gallagher and Sophie DiRossi. As the story opens, Greystone Manor has a serious electrical issue. The fire department has been called. Sophie, who has recently returned to Harmony Harbor from Los Angeles, is understandably frantic as she cannot find Mia, her daughter. Complicating the situation, Mia hasn’t spoken since being previously traumatized in another fire in L.A. which left the little girl terrified of fire and firemen. Liam had feelings for Sophie when she lived in Harmony Harbor before. Liam has just returned to work after a disastrous warehouse fire which took the life of a fellow firefighter. Fighting his own fears, he goes into the smoke-engulfed mansion searching for Mia. With the help of a black cat and a stuffed pig, he finds her, safely removes her from danger and places her into Sophie’s waiting arms. “Your mommy gave me”—he wracked his brain for the pig’s name— “Porky.” She looked at him “Peppy the pig?” The faintest hint of a smile touched her adorable heart-shaped face. “Do you want your pig?” he asked, reaching in his pocket. She gave her head a quick shake, and Liam withdrew his hand from his pocket. He got it. The singed ear was a reminder of what she and her stuffed animal had been through. Both Liam and Sophie are extremely likable, genuine characters. Their story is teeming with hot chemistry, lies and secrets. Before Sophie left Harmony Harbor, she had a huge crush on Liam but he’d ignored her as she was his best friend’s little sister and, therefore, off-limits. Sophie never realized that Liam actually loved her, too, but kept it to himself. It was so frustrating and sad that long-standing family feuds and betrayals kept them apart. Will the mute little girl be the key to breaking down the seemingly impregnable walls that separate this couple? This book hooked me on Debbie Mason’s books. It’s not only a holiday romance, but an endearing, inspiring tale of hope, second chances and Christmas miracles. Characters that will appear in the following books are introduced. While the tale is peppered with much drama, it’s primarily a heartwarming romance which will leave you smiling at the end. If you love fun, enchanting Christmas reads set in small, cozy towns in which you will want to take up residence, I’d highly recommend that you check out Mistletoe Cottage and the author’s entire Harmony Harbor series. A sweet holiday romance featuring a sexy firefighter and a single mom that happens to be his best friends little sister, who have a second chance at love. I loved this introduction to a new series! While giving us a sweet love story between Liam and Sophie, Ms. Mason introduces us to a new small town, its interesting characters and hooks us with all the secrets still to be revealed in the upcoming books. I'm already eagerly waiting for the next book! Fans of the Christmas, Colorado series will love it! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. I was not compensated for this review, all conclusions are my own.

There is nothing better than curling up with a good book on a cold snowy day. Debbie Mason’s Mistletoe Cottage, the start of her new Harmony Harbor series, is a perfect choice. Written in the same style as her Christmas, Colorado, series, this book to existing fans will feel like the perfect set of slippers. New fans will love the rich history of the town, and penchant for secrets. Liam and Sophie are one of those couples destined to be together from page one. Though I would have liked her to deal a little more with the trauma some of the characters were suffering, in all it was a delightful afternoon read. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel.

What a great story! Sophie DiRossi left Harmony Harbor when she found herself pregnant. Now her daughter is seven and Sophie has returned home. She runs into Liam Gallagher, her brother’s best friend and the man she had a crush on for years. She thought he just saw her as her brother’s tag-along little sister but he told her he had been in love with her for years. Liam is not a boy any longer but a total hottie and works as a firefighter. Sophie is hired by Liam’s great-grandmother Colleen to manage their family inn. Colleen has told everyone she is writing a tell-all book about all the secrets in Harmony Harbor. When she dies suddenly, everyone is looking for the book because everyone has secrets that they don’t want disclosed even Sophie.

This is a must read if you are looking for a wonderful Christmas story! It has it all-a hot fire fighter, a strong single mom, a town in need of a Christmas miracle, and a ghost who is a romantic at heart. Debbie Mason is a talented writer who creates multi-dimensional characters. Can't wait to read the next book in this series coming out in December (Christmas with an Angel).

What is the best Christmas present a child could receive, one that every child deserves? The love and stability of family and a feeling of security and being protected, while being able to trust those around her. Has young Mia's time finally come? When Sophie became pregnant, she wasn’t much more than a child herself, so she fled to avoid the pain, shame and gossip that would surely start in the small town of Harmony Harbor. Now disaster brings her back, her tail between her legs, filled with secrets she vows never to share, including the name of the father. What she returns to are family feuds, an opportunity to save a failing business and the one man she always loved, even as a teen, but Liam, never noticed her, she was off-limits, the kid sister of his best friend. Then there is the truth of Mia’s parentage to contend with. What Sophie never knew was that Liam loved her, too, but he carries a guilty secret of his own. Is it possible that time and a little girl who no longer speaks will bring these two together or will the secrets they keep build a wall that cannot be torn down MISTLETOE COTTAGE by Debbie Mason is an angst and drama-filled tale of lies, secrets, and lost chances as one young woman tries to do the right thing for her young daughter and herself. It is Liam who steals the show as young Mia steals his heart and he pulls out all of the stops to let Sophie know how much he cares, well almost all of the stops, there is that secret... Sophie is clearly in crisis mode, her behavior is often erratic, but in her defense, she has more than a full plate to handle. Debbie Mason has provided more than a Holiday Romance, she has taken the season of miracles and given it a special meaning for both her characters and her readers! I received this copy from Forever in exchange for my honest review.

Sophie just got back to Harmony Harbor and so many things have already gone wrong. Her daughter is missing, her lost love is here to rescue them, and the whole town is interfering in what should be a simple move. Liam knows that Sophie is the one that got away. If only's are all he has. He wishes he had told her how he really felt so many years ago. Maybe this is fates way of giving them a second chance. There is plenty to love about this book. It brings in another loveable series. The characters are either laugh out loud funny, or the comedy of errors can be. There are also moments that are hot and sweet. Something for everyone! ***This ARC copy was given by Netgalley and its publishers in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed reading this book a lot. It was a very enjoyable romance with a little paranormal ghost. I loved Mia, Sophie and Liam. I also love the people of Harmony Harbor. This was so much fun. I love it. I look forward to many more of her books. I received this book from Grand Central Publishing for a fair and honest opinion.

Debbie Mason has created a interesting setting for a wonderfully Gothic romance featuring a plucky heroine and hero, a illegitimate baby, a castle/hotel, a ghost and case of mistaken identity. Sophie DeRossi grew up in Harmony Harbor, but left when she was 18, alone and pregnant. She moved to LA to raise her daughter. 8 years pass, Sophie and Mia return Harmony Harbor because their apartment burnt down. She is desperate for a job, and finds employment working at an old castle that now operates as a hotel. It it owned by her brother's best fiend and her old crush, Liam. He was very aware of Sophie's feeling and always regretted not sharing his feelings. Will Sophie's return to his life offer the second chance they never got? This is a complex book that set up a new setting, a interesting couple, and a very complex supporting cast. I like Ms. Mason writing style and look forward to the next book in the series. I was given a free copy for an honest review.

Wow. What an amazing book! I'd give it 10 stars if it were possible, but I'll have to settle for 5. If you’re looking for a sweet Christmas romance and a beautiful series starter that will have you hooked by chapter one, you should definitely pick up Debbie Mason’s latest release. I usually tend to ramble on and on about a book I’ve liked, but not even all the words in the world could express how much I loved this book and how it touched my heart deeply. I just want you to please trust me on this and go buy your own copy of Mistletoe Cottage right now. If you’ve enjoyed the books in the Christmas, Colorado series, you’ll love the people of Harmony Harbor just as much. The small-town setting, the camaraderie, the funny scenes that will have you laugh out loud, the chemistry that’s always kept on the clean side of the spectrum—all the distinctive elements that made me (and all the other fans of Christmas) love the previous books are all included in this new series. Add a crazy (and super funny) Italian matriarch, an Irish family with a meddling great-grandmother who can’t stop meddling even after her heart’s stopped beating, a family feud between the hero’s and the heroine’s families, and an adorable little girl who will steal your heart from the very first scene. Not to mention a very handsome, very Irish, and very romantic firefighter. And here’s the recipe for another best-selling series you’ll never get enough of. If you’ve yet to discover Debbie Mason’s books, this will be the perfect first book. I have no doubt you’ll fall in love with the people of Harmony Harbor. *** I received a complimentary copy from NetGalley. I wasn't compensated for my review and all opinions are my own***

I absolutely loved this book. I couldn't put it down. It has a lot feels. It's definitely a make you feel good book. The characters are fantastic. The emotion, humor, and storyline just grabbed me. I loved that it took place during the holidays because the magic of the season just added so much to the book for me. I really liked Liam. He's great hero material. It takes place in a small town and you have that feel. I can't wait for more from this series because I'm hooked.

I have read a few books in the authors Christmas Colorado series so when I heard she had a new series in Harmony Harbor U couldn't wait to check out this new series. To start I want to warn you I was a little confused in the beginning of the book. There are lost of characters and they are introduced very casually and very fast. At first I was very confused who was related to who when Sophia and Mia are first introduced. However by 10% I started getting who was who and the relationship to everyone. Essentially this book is a best friends brother type romance and 2nd chance at love, love story. I feel I should also warn you one thing this author likes to do in some of the books in the Christmas series is have relatives be former lovers of the main couple. I did not like that in that series and I really hate it in any romance, and I didn't realise that this would be a plot device used here. Be warned that at least its not a brother or sister but an older cousin which made it a little better for me to read, not great but least its not a sibling relationship which Christmas Colorado stories had. As to the story, the main character is Sophie and I really liked her. I hate that she has this huge thing for Liam and then gives up and goes for his cousin. Liam also had a thing for Sophie except the whole brother/friend thing stopped him from going after her, then she left town and never really came back. Now Sophie is 26 and back home with her daughter, Mia who has been traumatized and does not speak. Sophie has been arrested and has no job or place to live so she comes back home to live with her grandmother and thats where the story starts getting interesting. Liam runs in Sophie and Mia when they are trapped in a Halloween Haunted House gone wrong which was fun and exciting and what a way for L and S to see each other again. It also creates this really great bond between Mia and Liam. Liam is now a firefighter and he had a very bad experience and is now hanging at home and working for his dad, a fire chief. Meanwhile Sophie needs a job very badly and the only job available is working for Liam's family and thats when this book really picks and gets really fun. One aspect that I really lovedin this story is the ghost element. Someone dies in this story and instead of going to the light she becomes a huge part of the story as she manipulates characters. I really loved this aspect of the story and I thought it was perfect for a story publishing close to Halloween. I also really loved the Gallagher brothers. Not sure who my favorite is next to Liam but Aidan and Harper were very fun. I also really loved Ava, Sophie's cousin and can't to find out what happens to her and her ex Griffin. **I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.**

This new series begins with this book. It is a lovely way to get to know the residents of Harmony Harbor. Sophie comes back to her hometown after being gone for many years. She brings with her a daughter that she intends to keep secret as she reconnects with Liam. Liam is such a strong and honest character. He almost seemed too level headed for Sophie. The writing was gentle and so loving, I was pulling for them to get back together. Ms. Mason really has a lovely way of telling a story so that you are fully involved and care what is happening to the characters.

This is one of Debbie Mason's best books yet because of the multiple plot twists to the "secret baby" trope. I was ready to move to the charming east coast village, and explore the manor at the center of the story. Strong characters and excellent pacing make this romance a wonderful read.

I’m so happy that I found Debbie Mason, I truly am! From the moment I found her books I’ve looking forward to the next one and the next one and so on. And I’m so excited that now I get to be a part from the start!! This is the first book in a new series called Harmony Harbor and let me tell you that it is shaping up to be equally amazing and heartfelt as her previous one. This was the perfect book to start a series with, we get the main two characters Sophie and Liam that have a bit of a past, they’ve know each other their whole lives until one day Sophie leaves town and everyone in it behind, that is until a few years later when she is forced to move back home and face everyone she left behind. Their story was so beautiful! Liam was so good to her, he is the kind of male protagonist that I really love because if he wants something or someone he is going to let you know, he is going to make sure you know he is interested and that he is there for you. Their reconciliation and everything that that entailed was written beautifully, it kept giving me flutters in my heart and I was so glad about how everything turned out. As I said before this was the perfect introduction to Harmony Harbor and its inhabitants, I’m already hoping for several characters to get their books and to know more about the second one!

A mother's love is one of the most powerful forces of nature. From the moment of conception the bond between mother and child takes over. The minute the child is born and their eyes lock the connection is complete. There is only one connection that rivals that feeling of fear that blossoms into ecstatic freefall. Finding your soul mate. Sophie had the pleasure of experiencing love twice and nothing can compare to the euphoric overload of giving your heart over to another for safekeeping, but what happens when the novelty wears off and reality sets in? Mistletoe Cottage is about facing the past in order to move on to a brighter future. Ms. Mason introspective mind got right to the heart of the matter with this deeply moving story.
