I absolutely loved this story! The characters are very well developed and the mobster lifestyle and New Jersey Italian culture is deeply ingrained in this heartfelt story of forbidden love. This book is fast-paced and action packed. It barely left me time to catch my breath because once I started it, I couldn't put it down! I loved how the book was written from each person's POV. It allowed me to fully understand the reason behind the character's actions and their love for one another. There isn't any sex in this book and that's part of what makes it so special. The characters have known each other for years, but do not take the relationship straight to the bedroom as most current books do. It is, indeed, a short story that ends with a very climactic twist and cliffhanger that left me wanting more. I definitely plan on picking up the second book as soon as I can! My only complaint with this book is that there were quite a few typo's and small errors, but I was able to look over them and thoroughly enjoy the story. *** I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. ***

I finished Mobster's Girl last night... It was so difficult to put it down, honestly. I had to because it was Father's Day and I felt like my dad and husband probably needed my nose OUT OF a book for a little while, but it was painful for me... In spite of having to forcibly put it down for hours yesterday (which about killed me), I still ended up reading the whole book in one day, reading late into the night. At any rate, while I don't normally read YA or mobster-type stories, I really loved it since there was enough UST to keep my pervy mind interested. The whole mobster thing isn't something I'm very familiar with, living in the rural area I do, and big cities are kind of like other planets for me. But, I felt I was able to clearly see everything and smell the smells of the city. And I loved that there was a history between the H/h, not just an instantly in love thing that makes stories kind of unbelievable. Also, the story totally kept me on my toes and wasn't predictable at all, IMO. I was floored by her own past! :) I can't wait to read the next installment. This one is even going in my OMG category...!

Mobster's Girl got read it one night by me also! This story brings me back to the old neighborhood; the story was incredibly detailed as made the characters and background come alive. The "Romeo and Juliet" type story-line is classic, but with a heartfelt, albeit darker twist. The emotions between the two leading characters draw you in and makes you want to keep reading about their relationship and lives forever! The “Italian Family” is a genre that definitely needed to be tapped and Ms. Rachiele does an excellent job of depicting the good/evil sides of the “life”. I definitely recommend this to anyone, but especially if you’re looking for something new and fresh!

I was absolutely surprised by this book. Im not much of YA reader but the moment I picked this book up I couldnt put it down. Antonio is sweet and charming with a bad boy attitide. Megan is sarcastic and wise. Put the two together and you get absolute chemistry. Can't wait for the next installment.

I couldn't put this book down! Read it in one night. Great job of detailing the life of the Italians. I felt like i was back in my youth growing up in an all Italian neighboorhood. Each chapter kept me laughing at the "Italian" words...sooo true. The slap to the "back of the head" I still can feel. The author does a great job, bringing u right into her characters. Cant wait for the next book!

I enjoyed this story. The book probably would have received 3.5 stars from me were it not for what appeared to be a lack of editing. I had to check a few times to make sure that I wasn't reading an ARC. There were grammatical errors (your instead of you're), punctuation in the wrong places (like the middle of words) or completely missing punctuation where it should have been. It really ruined the flow of the story every time I had to stop reading and mentally correct things. I also hate stories that don't end. If it's its own book, end it with a proper ending. Harry Potter did this very well, a running story but with complete stories in each book. Don't just stop mid paragraph and say 'buy my next book to find out the rest of the thought.'  I really did enjoy the story; I liked the characters and found them to be believable. And I will continue with the rest of the books, but please, make sure they're edited before publishing!

I knew three pages in to this book that I would love it and I wasn’t disappointed. The vocabulary at the beginning of each chapter and its use in the book gave a very authentic feel and made me feel very much a part of what I was reading. The characters were interesting and far from flat. My only complaint would be that the book is to short, but luckily there is a second and third book, which I will start reading as soon as I finish praising this one!

I received this book for free to give an honest review. AMAZING! I have never read an Italian book before and I found myself at times trying to read with an Italian accent. I would have to catch myself.  I loved reading Megan and Antonio's story and what Antonio did for his father. Mobster's Girl is filled with some action not a lot, a lot of little teenage love, friendship, and drama. I was hooked from the first page, and now I want to read book two for sure as I want to know what else is going to happen. There was a surprise twist towards the end that I did not see coming which was pretty cool.  I enjoyed the style of Amy's writing especially when she would switch it up from Megan's pov to Antonio's pov.  I thought the name of the chapter titles was interesting, as it told you the Italian verb meanings.  Megan and Antonio's love will be tested on all accounts, but will stand up between the family?  Antonio's father is the mob boss and that makes him the mob bosses son. He has his eye on the fiery red head named Megan and he has been hooked on her for years! But can they ever be together? Megan's family does not want her involved and Megan knows this until one night at a party. Opposites attract!  Read the book to find out what happens next.  There were a few editing errors, but I did not pay attention as I was too engrossed in the story to really care.

Reviewed by Janelle Fila for Readers' Favorite Mobster's Girl (Mobster's Series Book 1) by Amy Rachiele is a young adult romance that puts readers smack dab in the middle of an Italian Mafia family. Antonio is 18 and looking at becoming the newest mob boss in Palmetto, New Jersey. He's a family man, for sure, but he doesn't know if he is the way he is because he was born that way or made that way. Megan left Ireland at the age of five. At 17, she thinks she is old enough to know what she wants, but her parents forbid her from seeing Antonio. Antonio has always wanted to be with Megan. He doesn't like watching her slip away. But Antonio's lifestyle definitely puts Megan in danger and Antonio can't handle that. He's used to danger from the outside, but what happens when the danger comes from someone closer to home? Can Antonio save Megan and protect their budding romance? Mobster's Girl is a modern twist on a classic tale of forbidden love. Danger always surrounds mobsters and makes them attractive and dangerous at the same time. I really enjoyed these characters, especially their budding romance. I liked how they dealt with the fact that their parents didn't want them to be together and fought for their time with one another. I wanted to spend so much more time with these characters and was sad when the story was over.

Two young to leave their families but tied together by their families. Megan and Antonio are destined to be together but why this is the question which isn't revealed till the end of the book.

“Mobsters Girl” by Author Amy Rachiele is an astounding read that had me glued to my reading device for two nights on end. Main Character Antonio is absolutely described to perfection with a stunning and deep POV that has you glued the entire time. This is truly not your typical YA Romance that is ordinary and bland, but rather thrilling and entertaining beyond words. What made this a unique and original story for me is that Antono’s dad is the head of a Mob family in New Jersey. This in itself entails him getting involved in the family business. From one aspect Antonio is portrayed as a loving guy willing to do almost anything for Megan, while on the other hand he has to fully immerse himself into the world of the Mob where hitting and getting what you want (the rough way) is just a part of every day life.  The way Author Amy Rachiele places you in the center of all the action is simply brilliant. Words to describe this book are: Thought Provoking, Captivating, Original, Fun, and Intense in a well-written manner that will engulf the mind and imagination well after you are done reading. A Must Read for all and 5 Stars!

I liked this book.  It was short.  Only about 129 pages.  I thought the characters were well developed.  I loved how we got to see the story from Megan and Antonio's point of view.  The ending of the book shocked me.  I did not see it coming.  I am looking forward to reading the rest in the series.  The only drawback I have is that all the books in the series are 2.99, and they are so short.  I wish there was a box set we could purchase for a better deal.

I wasn't sure I'd really get into this book, but a few chapters in I was in love with it! Mobster's Girl reminds me of Romeo & Juliet, but only due to Antonio & Megan's fathers trying to keep them from each other. This book is a rollercoaster ride of emotion and drags you through some pretty tough situations. I loved it and will be buying the rest of the series.

This was a good read as in a "short, fun ride" kind of way.  It was sweet and clever but entirely too short. There was so much opportunity for more conversations between the characters but sadly they weren't there. Even though it was short and quick I could still feel the emotions in the characters and feel compelled to find out more. Overall great story. Please....Amy Rachiele write us more next time.

"Mobster's Girl" was definately a great read. It will keep you hooked to the end. The book starts off great and gets better and more exctiting as you read. Antonio has always wanted Megan, but what happens when you watch everything you want slip away. Antonio lifestyle puts Megan in danger, but what happens when the danger comes from someone closer to home. Will Antonio be able to save Megan when the truth comes out? The chemistry between the characters are great, nothing seems rushed and you watch the characters develop. This book also allows you to see everything from Megan's and Antonio POV. "Mobster's Girl is full of twist, lies and betrayal. It was such an easy read and the flow was great, I read it in one sitting. This book does end with a cliffhanger and you will want to find out how everything turns out. This book is definately worth reading and I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

A few weeks ago I saw a review for this book and knew I needed to read this book. So, when I saw that the author was offering the second book, I jumped at the possibility. I have the second book, but since its a continuation of the first, I had to read the first before. Yesterday I was at work for 12 hours, and was exhausted. I figured I would start this book and fall asleep a few pages through. Nope, that didn't happen. Three hours later, I was still awake and completely finished it. I could not put this book down! Its the ultimate bad boy and the ultimate good girl. They fall in love, and their families are against it. Every good girl falls for a bad boy. I know I did when I was younger, heck, I married one! The only bad thing about the book was that the twist was a little predictable. About halfway through the book I started having a niggling little feeling, and sure enough, I was right. I can't wait to curl up tonight with the next book!

I really enjoyed this book. I only wish it had been a bit longer. It seemed that just when things started getting exciting, there was the end. Although the characters might be a bit cliché (shy, pretty 'good girl' versus handsome 'bad boy'), it works for the story. I love Megan and Antonio and the circumstances surrounding their relationship. They've known of each other their entire lives but have been kept at a distance. This is a classic story of star-crossed lovers, which I immensely enjoyed. The author is a great storyteller, going back and forth between Megan's and Antonio's points of view. With this style, we get to see a bit of both of their worlds. The author kept enough of the story back to keep us guessing but told us enough that we wanted to know more.
