Sort of slow. Of all the Follett books I've read, this was not too interesting.

I've read many other Ken Follet books and this is nothing like the others. It is not an historical fiction. The story revolves around different people all scheming at something in the art world. Not particularly engrossing and i kept reading, thinking something exciting was sure to happen. Not a bad read because Follet is a good writter, but certainly not up to his usual standards.

This is not one of Ken Follett's better books. The story is two-dimensional, a bit confusing at times. Nor is the heroine particularly sympathetic. Worst, the audio recording is very soft; even at full volume in the car, we had trouble hearing it.

Ken Follett's books are all excellent and will be enjoyed by all ages and sexes. Can hardly wait until his next one is published.

If you liked any of Ken Follett's other books, you will certainly like this one also. A quick read, great for a rainy day. Suspenseful from the beginning to the end.

In the nook book form this is a difficult read. Very often the quotation marks and apostrophes were replaced with a question mark. The word clear or clean looks as if the c and l ran together to form the letter d. Put up with that, and it's an interesting plot.
