"A good chef can throw seemingly random ingredients into a pot and create something delicious. On rare occasions, fate does the same thing with hearts. With the right combination of elements at just the right time, a couple can fall head over heels in love. That being said, blending two lives can get messier than any kitchen and also a hell of a lot harder to clean up."
Molly's food truck took Austin by storm, and she's got more prospects than she knows what to do with. Her crazy ex is out of the picture, and she's moved in with her gorgeous boyfriend, Joe. She and Joe rarely see one another, and when they do, their time is squandered arguing. Molly's anxious to break this cycle because the tension between them is literally making her sick.
After years alone and shattered, Molly has reawakened a part of Joe that he was sure couldn't be revived. He's terrified of losing her, but their combined baggage makes every step forward seem littered with landmines. Molly's more than worth the fight, but she shouldn't be the one he's constantly battling. A master carpenter by trade, Joe has restored countless treasures which seemed beyond repair. He's determined that he and Molly won't be the exception.
Fate kicks in the door and rocks them to their very foundation. Boundaries are tested, tears shed, and Molly and Joe will question everything they think they know about themselves and each other.

I read the first book on a whim, and I've been hooked ever since! Reading about how Molly and Joe are continuing their relationship and everything that gets in their way and helps them out...I can't even say enough about this book! I loved it and cannot wait for the final installment!! Great work!
4.5 star I was pulled right into this story. This story has laughs, interfering family members, and heartbreak. This is more of Molly and Joe’s story. Molly and Joe are still working on their relationship. They are living together and business is going good. But throw in some interfering family members and you have trouble. They learn the relationship is not all sunny and happy. There are times when couples will fight but the love will bring them through the hard times. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story in this series.
Dam Molly and Joe are just so cute. Im glad they finally opened up and let go as much as you can from the past. Malcom in this book cracked me up that date is classic. So happy she had one of each just perfect. I hated how she still didnt feel like she deserved him or always comparing to his ex wife ahhh I love that Joe is so protective of her and always call her little girl its so endearing. Cant wait till Heartwood
Overall Rating: 4.5 Rockin’ Stars Is there really such a thing as HEA? In this second book in the Carved Hearts series you find yourself asking that questions. Molly and Joe continue to try and leave their past behind but the past is not that easy to let go. You will laugh and cry right alone with them as they face unexpected trials and blessings. This is another part of their story that will grip you and hold you until the end! Molly has concerns about how her relationship with Joe is progressing. She has demons from her past that leaves her with feeling of insecurity and poor self-worth. Even though Molly is a successful business woman and entrepreneur she does not see the Molly others do. It is difficult for her to understand how Joe in all his gorgeous male self could want her forever, especially since his first love was the perfect beauty. Then the unexpected happens, she is pregnant! How will Joe deal with another chance at being a parent and partner? Then to top everything they are dealing with, he tells her they will get married, like she is a burden for him to assume! That really caused Molly’s demons from her ex-husband to resurface. Joe’s whole world revolves around Molly. He realizes that she is his true love and that what he had felt before was the idea of being in love with someone, not really being in love. The past continues to haunt him with flair ups especially when they find out that Molly is expecting! Can he be the man she needs him to be? Will she be able to see how he feels about her? Or will he drive her away with his need to be with her all the time and in overprotective mode? How can he show her how he feels about her and the new life they have created together? When Joe and Molly finally face the concerns they are both feeling things start to change. Even with things looking up, both of them feel an overwhelming sense of foreboding. Can Joe protect his family? Will they find their HEA? Or will the past repeat its self? Hero: 4.5 stars Heroine: 4.5 stars Plot: 4.5 stars Steam Level: 4.5 stars Cliffhanger: Yes. This is book two in the Carved Hearts Series. I gave this book 5 stars. This is Molly and Joe's story continuing from the first book Good Wood. I would say that you should read book one because it is the beginning of this couples story. BUT I read it as a stand alone. I am sure that I would have connected a lot more with them if I had read the first one. None the less I really enjoyed reading this book. Molly has everything she wants she and Joe are happy. They have their problems and they are sharing their lives together. But they have obstacles to over come. Feels like things are where they want them to be, but they can't enjoy it .. They don't have a lot of time to spend together and the time they do have they seem to argue all the time. Joe is happy and he has everything that he has always wanted. But they have a lot still to overcome as a couple. Are they strong enough to do it? Follow this continuing story of Molly and Joe and see if they can get past all that is being laid in front of them. Time will tell what fate has in store for these two. I loved this book and will def be picking up book one to see what went on with them in the beginning of their relationship. <3
