Naomi Shannon had moved from Kane¿s Crossing, Kentucky to Placid Valley near San Francisco, California to start a new life for her and her unborn baby. Naomi had found new friends in the Suds Club Laundromat. They would meet, do their laundry and watch the soap series, Flamingo Beach. Naomi had settled in and was adjusting to the city life, when in walk a man with a big red stain on the front of his blue shirt. He was having trouble getting a box of soap from the dispenser. Even though Naomi had decided she didn¿t need a man in her life she went over to help him. He said he was on vacation and that his name was Dave. David Chandler was a powerful man, who put his business before anything else. Since his half-brother Lucas had given up his dangerous life to settle down and have a family, David was restless, he wasn¿t happy with the man that he had become. David takes off, trying to get his life together, so he went on a vacation. David went into the Laundromat to wash his stained shirt when he encounters a woman who he could relate too. Dave and Naomi start up a friendship as they watch a soap opera on television. David begins to see that maybe this is what Lucas had found. Naomi didn¿t know the real David, would she understand when the truth came out? Crystal Green brought out a lot of emotions with this story, as David realizes that what he was looking for was right in front of him. Come along with David and Naomi as they look for the true meaning of love.
