There's nothing to wonder that this book is not available in (American) English, as it speaks against the two major traps of one's life: losing all your time by trying to save it and consumer society --- buy, buy, buy, it's never enough. Probably the time-thieves of the story are not so imaginary creations after all and they did this book in. But seriously speaking, it's available in (British) English too, in Puffin books. I've just bought the book and thoroughly enjoyed it, though I'm long not a child, unfortunately.

I really enjoyed this book, I read it in Japanese when I was about 9. It really has made me think about how much we do take time for granted

El libro más logrado de Ende, sin duda: muy redondo. La historia atrapa como un thriller, ¡pero uno avanza a ritmo de tortuga! Y da mucho que pensar, pero sin ser nada didáctico: es simple y pura literatura.

I have read this book a long time ago. I was trying to find an english version. Every where I went it was out of print. This book was worse to keep looking. I really wanted my kids to read it. They loved it. And I can tell you, you will love it, too.

I am living in Germany and this summer I am in the play Momo based on the book. There is an english hardcover edition of this book out there; apparently the paperback has been out of print for a while. Keep on looking because Momo is a worthwhile read!

I've read this book several years ago in Japanese. I never could forget it since! Now my son is in the age I'd like him to read this story, but I couldn't find an English edition, is there any at all? Please help if you have any information.

I read this book after reading Ende's Neverending Story. This book has a good vs. evil plot that people seem to struggle with daily-having enough time. Time is the main symbol throughout the book. It's moral-The more time we save the more time we need. Children 9 and up will enjoy the book, though they may not get the underbelly of the story. Go out and read it!!!!

I found Momo very interesting and satisfying. Momo was not fooled by the time-stealers, and she honestly cared for her friends like Beppo. I found the tortoise very cute and comforting admist the danger she was going through. I would really recommend this book to any one who is looking for a really worth-it book. I think it is even better than The Giver(along the same line). Call me emotional, but I really cried when Beppo was tricked...I was so happy for him when he was reunited.

This is the most intelligent and child-imagination-geared book I have read! In this fast-paced world, children need the inner self-knowledge, patience and appreciation for life Momo teaches. My children will have this enrichment, too! I read it in Spanish many years ago...I did not think I could find it in English! I plan to read other Michael Ende's books
