Overview

Monday's Child by Caroline Jones Lewis

Remember Britain in the swinging 60s, those heady, exciting days when the young took over the world of fashion, music and design? Or too young to remember but you've heard the stories? Take a walk through those important days of history with these three young cousins embarking on changes in their lives, when the world promised to be their oysters but no-one had yet told them of the dangers that could lie in store. New horizons, a political scandal that almost brought down a government, prejudice and the perpetrators of organised crime - and a stalker, they're all here offering exciting opportunity to our young people but also unexpected life-threatening challenges. Open the door to their world, peek inside and enjoy.
The headstrong Nancy, adrift and spiralling downwards in the seedy side of the capital's nightlife must come to terms with truths about herself to overcome and move forward; Lizzie embarking on her university course with an ambition to succeed in a man's world must prove her worth; and Hugh's life is undergoing a sea change he has been reluctant to embrace. Each one must overcome hurdles - and fear - to meet their brave new future. Will they succeed and reap the rewards or will disaster and disillusionment rob them of their goals?
