The great character and storyline development kept me totally engaged as the story between Monk and Saylor flawlessly unfolded!

I really loved how this started at the now then went back to build the relationship of Monk and Saylor from when they first meet to what they went through to get to the point in front of the hospital, the way it is is done as well with the jumps in time flow together really well so you don't feel confused or if you missed something. Both Saylor and Monk have been through things that make then guarded about doing more which builds the emotional turmoil they go through and at times you really do want to shake them silly so they see sense. I love the relationship Saylor has with her brother Razor as well as the relationship he also has with Monk and you can see he along with the others only want whats best for them both and at times need a wee nudge! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Tall, dark, and a man of few words, talk about a sexy hero. Monk is full of surprises, great characters and has just enough twists to keep the story fun and exciting while taking you on an emotional ride. I have been looking forward to Monks story and it surpassed my expectations, he and Saylor compliment each other in so many ways, but there were times I wanted to yell at them and tell them to quit acting like brats :) Awesome story!!

Monk and Saylor had a back and forth romance where she pushed him away and then he pushed her away; they got together and then broke up. She was afraid to risk her and her daughters’ hearts after what her ex did her, but they can’t help getting close to Monk. Monk seemed afraid to risk his heart too. I didn’t get a good feel for why except he’d always been a bachelor. Maybe he was tired of the roller coaster Saylor put him on. I loved that Saylor decided to go for her pilot’s license, something she’d wanted to do for years, but had been held back from by her ex. Monk was a highly skilled operative with what he did for his teammates and to protect Saylor. There was plenty of suspense in romance. It was great to catch up on the lives of characters from previous books in the series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

"Monk" (K19 Security Solutions Book 7) by Heather Slade is a great read. I loved Monk and Saylor's story. This is a wonderful addition to the series, packed with romance, passion, action, suspense, entertaining characters, and more. I enjoyed catching up with the rest of the interesting cast of characters that make up K19 Security Solutions. I can't wait to see what happens next. Highly recommend to all fans of romance, suspense, and series.

Four and a half stars. This book lives up to my expectations for Ms. Slade’s writing. I’m thinking if Saylor doesn’t want Monk, I’ll take him. He and Mercer have been my favorites in all of these series. This book is a standalone, but it really helps to have read the previous installments. Monk and Saylor are different than most of the other characters which made reading this a real delight for me. Saylor’s daughters are adorable and are given a little more notice than you would usually find in this kind of story. I enjoyed this book and would recommend it for Ms. Slade’s followers. I received a free copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

This is another great book that draws you in and keeps you engaged until you turn that last page I always know that I need to start a Heather Slade book early in the day because I won't stop reading until I turn that last page and I am getting way to old to read into the early hours of the morning This book was no exception to that rule While each book in this series is a stand alone there are many cross over charactersso do yourself a afavoutr and read them in order as you will go back and read them all anyway so you may as well start at one and progress This is Saylor and Monks story. She is a single m,other of two children who has found herself in danger so who would she turn to but her brother and his security comapny She has suffered at the hands of her abusive ex and now she is teying to chart a new path in Life Rhys “Monk” Perrin is the darkest of the dark as far as operatives for K19 security he always completes any task given to him and never questions an order After all he has no soul left after what he has seen and done over the years. When he is tasked with the security of Saylor it isn't sure how to handle it she brings out is protective side and she finds his gentleness a total draw but these are two damaged people who are both trying to find a future Could that future be together You will have to read to see

ARC for honest review with no compensation Received from BookSprout Monk is book 7 in the K19 Security Solutions by Heather Slade...this series is amazing!! Standalone but interconnected and reading in order gives you a better understanding of the series. We have read about Rhys “Monk” Perrin in the other 6 books and now it’s his turn to find his HEA with his partner’s older sister, Saylor Sharp Davis or so we hope... Saylor, divorced with two young children’s is trying to heal and move forward from her abusive husband but when her ex starts threatening her she needs the help of her brother’s security team. While she understands all that’s involved she is not sure her heart can take the one person assigned to her...Monk. Monk a member of the K19 Security Solutions has had Saylor in his sights for sometime but not wanting a relationship due to his work. After some discussion between Monk and Saylor they decide to have a no strings attached relationship. But as we all know feelings do end up being involved... Action packed, suspense, steamy, romantic, misunderstandings are just some of what happens in this story...do these two find the HEA??

This is book 7 in the K19 Security Solutions series and it features Rhys “Monk” Perrin and Saylor Davis, who is Razor’s sister. There was an instant attraction between these two. It was as if they could read each others minds and we’re on the same wavelength. Monk’s lack of verbal communication, talking only when he had something important to say, was surprisingly sexy. Neither wants a relationship. She’s a single mom with two young daughters, with an ex-husband in prison. His career doesn’t allow him that freedom but whenever they’re in each others orbit, they spend “time” together. What could be more perfect! The more time you spend with someone, the more time you want. That perfectness turns into not enough and EVERYTHING gets messed up! I I really like that this is not an insta-love story. This entire romance happened over a period of two years. I love that we have a sort of behind-the-scenes, more detailed, telling of the events of a previous story. Monk’s character development was like watching a flower bloom and seeing the walls fall from around Saylor’s heart was beautiful. I do wish Cliff had played a much bigger part in this story line though. Regardless, this is a highly entertaining, extremely sexy romance and I cannot wait for more!

I loved Monk and Saylor's story. I thought that there was a really special connection between these two characters that both had wounded hearts and painful pasts. I thought it was super easy to like these characters and feel for them. In many ways these two were as diffent as night and day but that did absolutely nothing to deter the powerful attraction they shared or impede the growth of emotions much deeper than simple desire. The entertaining storyline keeps your focus with a complex blend of drama, suspense, tension, emotional turmoil, action, secrets, danger, twists, passion and romance. A very enjoyable read and excellent addition to this terrific series.

Full Disclosure: I stayed up way too late to finish this because I couldn't put it down. I LOVE Heather Slade's stories. The characters are real, the relationship has obstacles (often put there by the characters themselves) and the characters get an HEA at the end. There is also always a good suspense entangled and there are things going on that you don't expect. This story is no exception. I'd read them in order so you get all the backstory but you will be able to start here. Of course then you'll go back and get the backstory so it's up to you where you start. Monk and Saylor are perfect for each other but baggage from their pasts is a burden on both sides. There is suspense and you'll race to finish so you can get to the HEA. I was just going to read a couple of chapters when I started but here I am, sleep deprived but satisfied with the story. It's always nice when you end with a sigh. The characters feel real. You'll be cheering them on (when you don't want to hit them upside the head) and the action is non-stop. You've been warned: start this early because my few chapters ended with "the end". (I voluntarily reviewed an ARC).

It's always the quiet ones Monk and Saylor don't have a lot in common outside of their intense physical attraction, but over time their no-strings hookups turn into something a lot deeper, and that's when all the trouble starts. Monk may be a man of few words, but their communication problem is not entirely one-sided. Saylor is still trying to figure out what she wants, and her unwillingness to share her plans with Monk was extremely frustrating at times. Their story is told over the previous two years of K19 activities, so it references events from their POVs that happened during the previous books in the series, starting with Razor's all the way through to where we left off with Striker's. It's a standalone romance, but those who have been following the series all along will recognize the people and events as they related to Monk and Saylor. Between his job with K19, her career, and her family situation, theirs is a complicated romance, but one that ultimately has a satisfying HEA. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Monk’s story seems to have been ages in coming but boy oh boy it was well worth the wait. He is a complex character, the typical strong silent protector who has little to say but gets on with the job in an efficient and effective way. When he meets Saylorwho is his complete opposite sparks fly. Neither are looking for a serious relationship but cannot deny their attraction towards each other. This makes for a turbulent time as they attempt to see how things go. Add in the danger Saylor faces from her ex and Monk’s job and you have an interesting and enjoyable book . There is plenty happening in this story which is crammed with events and intrigue. All the K19 crowd are included which adds to the pleasure of reading.

I absolutely loved Monk! I was intrigued by him ever since he was first mentioned in previous books, so I was anxiously awaiting his story. It was definitely worth the wait, because Monk was so much more than I could have imagined. He's a really special character, and Saylor is the perfect match for him. They are my favorite couple of the series! The moments between them were captured perfectly. Some of the scenes were so well-written that I read them twice before moving forward. Heather Slade is one of my all-time favorite authors and I can't wait to see what amazing story she has planned next.

This is the story of Monk & Saylor. Monk is not really a talkative person. He just talks when there's something to say. Saylor is a single mom with two young daughters. They meet through K19 Security Solutions because of her brother Razor. They are really attracted to one another, but neither wants a relationship. This story is witty, action packed and steamy. Emotions run high. It is a great story. This is a book you won't be able to put down once you start it. Looking forward to the next Heather Slade book.

I enjoyed reading this book. It starts with a prologue with Monk and Saylor . When I got to the part where Monk was hit in the head and saw Ava being kidnapped right before he blacked out then it goes to Razor in the hospital later you find out he was shot rescuing Ava to me the part where Razor was shot should have been before the scene in the hospital. But the rest of the story was good it kept me reading so I could find out what is happening and how it turns out. I recommend this book !!!!!
