I love this series and was so happy to receive an advance copy to review. For generations the Wildes have owned a cherry orchard in Birch Bay Montana, but something went very wrong in the last generation (you can read my review of Montana Cherries). Their mother, a mother of 5 children, had Narcissistic Personality Disorder, which physiologically damaged each of her children. You can read about how Dani and Nick overcame their trauma in the previous books. This book centers on Gabe. We saw in the previous books that he had essentially married a woman, Michelle, who is just like his mother and the whole family is struggling to protect his daughter Jenna from her neglect. In an effort to save his marriage, he moved to California, but this marriage could not be saved. While in California he got a teaching degree and after finding his wife unfaithful and leaving their daughter alone so she could meet with her lover, he has filed for divorce, and now has come back with Jenna to Birch Bay. Meanwhile, Erica Bird has also suffered through a bad marriage with an unfaithful husband, who had an affair with her best friend, who is now pregnant. He has basically spoiled her home town and beloved job for her, so she impulsively accepts a temporary job in Birch Bay. How does she know about Birch Bay? While in college, she dated Gabe, came home with him several times and they both thought they might be in love with each other- but "it was too easy". So they broke up, she went back home to marry her home town boyfriend and he met Michelle. Not only do they find themselves living across the street from each other, but Erica is Jenna's teacher. It is a very bumpy road, but together they work to heal Jenna from her anger issues and rekindle their feelings for each other. But Michelle is not through with them yet .... I received a free advanced copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for my unbiased review. I highly recommend this series. Unlike some romance books, it actually has substance and not filled mostly with sex. I have never been west of the Mississippi, but the descriptions are so vivid that I can picture the location in my mind, as if I have been there.

This is a second chance romance featuring Gabe Wilde who has returned to Birch Bay with his young daughter, Jenna, who is struggling to come to terms with their new situation whilst he struggles with how to help her now that her parents are in the process of divorcing because of their destructive relationship. When Jenna starts school he discovers that her temporary teacher is Erica Bird, someone he went out with for two years whilst at college. She’s also been married but has been divorced from her cheating husband for two years though she’s also struggling with the change. With Jenna struggling to cope with the changes in her young life, can these two help support the child despite their different responses to her behaviour and will love be rekindled for them, too? The back story of both main characters is slowly revealed through the story, helping to explain their attitudes and reactions to events and each other. This is apparently the third novel in the series but I had previously only read the first one, Montana Cherries - I’ve missed Montana Rescue but hope to rectify that soon! I don’t think it is essential to read the earlier books to enjoy this one, but you may, like me, be tempted to do so after enjoying this one. There are so many threads running through this story with teaching, coaching, families, divorces, life and romance amongst them. The story runs through a whole roller coaster of emotions with so many ups, downs, twists and turns as both main characters and Jenna have to face up to the realities of life before they can move on towards a HEA. I requested and received a copy of this story via NetGalley and this is my honest review after reading it.

This talented author brings us another great read in the Wildes of Birch Bay series. The story line is full of emotional ups and downs and the characters are remarkable. Gabe and Erica both have personal issues to overcome and are both stubborn. A second chance, could lead to more if they can learn to trust again. Loved this story and can't wait for more. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book, all opinions expressed are my own.

Montana Mornings by Kim Law is a great read. Ms Law has provided us with a well-written book, a nice smooth read. Gabe and Erica's story is full of drama, humor and sizzle. The characters and dialog are awesome and make this book fun to read. I enjoyed Montana Mornings and look forward to reading more from Kim Law in the future. Montana Mornings is book 3 of The Wildes Of Birch Bay Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book that I won from Goodreads.

Kim Law does it again with Montana Mornings!!! I love The Wildes of Birch Bay series! Montana Mornings is a wonderful second chance romance. Gabe Wilde and his daughter have finally come back to their beloved home town of Birch Bay, Montana. Gabe and his daughter have returned to Montana to recover form the trauma of his disastrous marriage. His college sweetheart, Erica Bird, has also come to Birch Bay to recover from her own sad marriage.
Gabe can't believe the women he once loved will be teaching his vulnerable daughter and Erica can't believe her college boyfriend is back in her life again. Law is brilliant at illustrating the complexities of human feelings and relationships. Gabe and Erica have many personal hurdles to overcome before they can find one another again. Gabe is a sexy, warm, caring man doing everything in his power to make his daughter happy again. Erica is an intelligent, lovely women trying to help the man and the little girl she loves while struggling with her own personally demons.
The Wildes of Birch Bay is is a wonderful, heartwarming series you will just love. Kim Law masterfully portrays all sides of Gabe's and Erica's quest for emotional healing and their journey to find love again. I can't wait for the next romance in the Wilde series. Kim Law's romances are always a wonderful read! I received a free, advance copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an unbiased review.

This is an emotional tale of heartbreak and redemption. It's the story of Gabe Wilde and his struggle to protect his daughter. His little girl isn't dealing well with his divorce. She's become disruptive and manipulative. He's at his wit's ends. Erica Bird, her teacher, is new to town. She's here to get away from her ex-husband and his new love. She has been humiliated enough. Gabe and Erica were lovers in college, but life and betrayal has changed them. They have powerful chemistry and are still drawn to each other. Do they get a second chance at love? My heart broke for Gabe. He's trying so hard, but is having little success. He's worried that he can't help his daughter. Erica Bird is a caring woman. She wants to help Jenna and Gabe, but it isn't easy. They need to work together and learn to trust each other. I couldn't put down Montana Mornings. Gabe and Erica are compelling characters. Their love and caring were touching. I wanted Erica to realize that her ex was a user and a liar and that she needed to move on. I worried about Jenna. This troubled child doesn't know how to deal with all the changes in her life. She doesn't understand why her mother isn't there. I wasn't sure that Gabe and Erica could resolve their issues and become a family. I wanted a HEA because I cared. I loved the setting. Birch Bay is beautiful and filled with loving family and friends. Kim Law brought me to tears with this emotional drama. The characters are well written and charismatic. I want more stories on the Wiilde Family. I'm hooked on this series.

This is the third book in Montana series by this author. Its a series that involves siblings from a very dysfunctional childhood. In this book Gabe Wilde is back in Birch Bay with his young daughter, Jenna, as a high school teacher and football coach. He is waiting for the finalization of his divorce from Michelle who happens to be a lot like Gabe's mother who is now deceased. Because of Gabe's childhood he doesn't always handle his daughter in a productive way, in other words he tends to cause more friction between them. When they get back to Birch Bay Gabe finds out his daughter's teacher is Ericka, his old girlfriend from college. This book had many issues to deal with, it wasn't just one problem with Ericka and Gabe. Gabe dumped Ericka for his ex wife and this only added to Ericka's insecurities of feeling like she is boring and no one can love her and stay with her because of it. Ericka's ex husband cheated on her and his new girlfriend is vivacious unlike Ericka. Then you have Gabe trying to deal with his relationship with his daughter which is not always good, Ericka being her teacher tries to help but Gabe is bound and determined to do everything his way because of his past relationships with his mother and ex wife. Watching Gabe and Ericka grow individually was just as great to see as watching them grow as a couple. This is such a great series of books that deals with some complex issues. Its makes the stories gut wrenching at times but with great happily ever afters.

I love Gabe's story. Once I picked it up I really couldn't put the book down. We first meet Gabe and his ex Wife Michelle in Montana Rescue. I have to say I am extremely Glad he got rid of her. So Gabe starts off as a single father in the book. He tries to be a great dad to his child and make sure she has what she needs to keep going forward. Well he doesn't expect a surprise in the form of Erica Birde being his daughter's teacher. I will say Erica was really great for Gabe's daughter in helping her move forward as well as being someone she can confide in. There was a few times in the book that I was upset with Gabe because of the way he talked to Erica and sometimes he way he treated her. Erica character is a strong female that knows how to handle herself with part of herself being fragile that she doesn't like people to see. I can't wait to see which of the Wilder brothers comes next in the series. I enjoy watching these men grow and have amazing woman by their sides. Great book by Kim law!!! :) “I received a free, advance copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for my unbiased review.”

I've been waiting for Gabe Wilde to get his own book since first beginning to read about the Wilde's of Birch Bay. I knew his wife Michelle was not good for him or their daughter Jenna. Now Gabe and Jenna are back in Birch Bay after living in California for awhile. Erica Bird is new to a Birch Bay and is the temporary teacher taking over for the second grade teacher who is on maternity leave. She was also Gabe's college girlfriend. They both married other people and now they're back both newly single. This book was spot on with dealing with someone with a narcissistic personality. I couldn't wait to read the whole book and see how things play out. I loved the story and reading more about this family.

This story was a nice addition to the Wilde family saga. We get to follow Gabe Wilde as he returns home with his daughter after a failed marriage and with a new career as teacher and coach. As he and his daughter struggle with their new life, Gabe reunites with Erica, his college girlfriend and daughter's new teacher. Erica is also struggling with life after a very public failure of her own marriage. Like the first two books, this latest is also an emotional, painful journey from disfunctional upbringing to HEA. Well worth the read! I received a free, advance copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for my unbiased review.”

Finally time for Gabe and Jenna's story and their happy ever after! Gabe has come back home but not to the family business. He's become a teacher and hopes to give back to kids and make a difference in their lives as a teacher did for him during a tough time. Jenna has a hard time adjusting and has a substitute to start out the school year. This isn't just any substitute....Ms. Bird and Gabe have a history! They come together to help Jenna although that's not always smooth and find out they still have feelings for each other. That's another thing that doesn't always go smoothly. Can they find their way back to each other, learn to trust and love again? Kim Law does an incredible job of making her characters real and writing great stories you don't want to put down. This is the 3rd book in the Wildes of Birch Bay but could easily be a stand alone book. I voluntarily read an advance e-copy of this book for an honest review.

I enjoyed the first book in this series, Montana Cherries, but somehow I missed out on the second one. And while this one can easily stand on its own, I think that having read the first story helped me understand where the Wilde kids are coming from. I'm not sure if Montana Rescue plays into Gabe's story but I know that Dani's definitely sets up the family history. I'll say it again - this one can stand alone, Law does a great job of giving you the details you need. Although I think having that framework would make it easier to understand where Gabe is coming from. And you'll need it because Gabe is a very complex man. He has been badly hurt by women in his past, first by his mother and then his wife, and now he's got a daughter who needs him desperately. She's overwhelmed with everything she's feeling and at her age she has no idea how to deal. It's heartbreaking to see what these two are having to deal with but Gabe is dedicated to doing what is best for his little girl. Erica and Gabe meet again, but the years haven't been all that kind to either of them. While he's dealing with the fallout from his narcissistic ex, she's got her own relationship problems to deal with. A cheating husband and a small town don't go together so she's moved to get away from the pressures of gossip & proximity. Unfortunately as badly as she wants to, it's hard to just turn off her feelings so she's trying to figure out how to let go. The sexy man and wounded little girl next door help to take her mind off of it but she quickly finds herself getting involved. There are so many emotions that run through this book and Law has you twisted up in knots before you know it. I desperately wanted them to find the peace and love they deserve, but it takes a lot of effort to overcome their histories. Little progresses though make things worthwhile and before you know things are looking up all around. It's not going to be easy but nothing good ever is! *** I voluntarily read a Review Copy of this book. All opinions stated are solely my own and no one else’s. ***

The story of the Wilde family has captured me from the very first book Montana Cherries. The back story of these children and how they are coping as adults makes for a very captivating read. I have read all three books so far and have to say I have loved them all! I cannot pick a favorite. In this book Montana Mornings it follows oldest son Gabe Wilde and his young daughter Jenna's struggles to overcome their current situation. When Jenna's teacher is none other than Gabe's college girlfriend things become even stickier in dealing with those situations. This book had complex characters, they are well developed and you actually feel their pain and their happiness. Do yourself a favor and buy all of these books and read them! That way you can be like the rest of us anxiously awaiting the next story of the Wilde's of Birch Bay. “I received a free, advance copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my unbiased review.”

This is a great book; this is the third book in the Wildes of Birch Bay series written by Kim Law. Gabe Wilde has never been more ready for a change. Thirty-three and in the midst of a divorce, he’s packed up his second-grade daughter and come home to Birch Bay, Montana. New house, new career, new life. Only, with changes comes stress. His daughter is struggling with the transition to their new norm and Gabe is out of ideas as to how to help. Erica Bird is mired in her own worries. After impulsively leaving the teaching job she loved, she may finally be free from her cheating ex, but separated from her family and everything she’s ever known, second guesses linger. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night and you will not want to put this book down until you finish. This was such a great read and full of surprises. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

Feb 28, 2017 · edit really liked it bookshelves: contempary-fiction 4.5 stars This is the first book I've read by Kim Law. Other than a little more colorful language than I preferred I truly enjoyed this book. I will be reading more of Kim Law's books. Gabe and his daughter have moved back to Montana. Gabe teaches high school is the interim coach. His daughter is going through a hard time adjusting to her parents divorce and the move from Ca. to Mt. She is in elementary where Erica is the new tacher, filling in for the teacher on maternity leave. She is still struggling with her divorce, even though its been more than two years. Gabe buys the house across the street from Erica's rental property. Can you believe she lives in a rennovated firehouse. (Think - Stripper Pole - Yeah). Yep, even with the pole from upstairs to the downstairs. Erica & Gabe have a prior history from college. Sparks fly when they argue and romance is in the air. They both have prior spouses who they are having to deal with. Jenna's happiness is at the center of some of their disagreements. Gabe thinks because Erica has never been a parent she can't understand. Erica has been a teacher and won awards and some things from her own past help her to understand Jenna. There are a lot of issues but how they work through them and become stronger is what makes the plot work as well as it does. I received Montana Mornings as an ARC from the author. I was only asked to read it and leave a honest review. My personal taste would have been less colorful language but that's just me. That has nothing to do with the author's writting. I enjoyed the book, it was an easy plot to get into, there was humor and you will want to finish. I haven't read about two of the other brothers in the series but will definitely be reading the other Wildes of Birchfield series.

I was so excited to read this book! Every single time I pick up a book by this author, I know I am in for a treat. Gabe and Erica are so perfect for each other. The sparks between them are believable, and I loved Gabe's daughter. The feelings she was showing were realistic, and I was rooting for her the whole way through. Gabe and Erica were fun too. The story gave me warm fuzzy feelings, and I absolutely loved it! I highly recommend not only this book, but the entire series!

This is a fantastic series- I love each story & can’t wait for the next one. This is the third book in the The Wildes of Birch Bay series. It can be read as a stand alone but there are mentions of previous story lines. Gabe Wilde has returned to Montana to give his daughter a better life than the one they had in CA with his soon to be ex wife. Erica Bird is new in town but not to the Wilde family. She is trying to recover from heartbreak (her ex cheated) & runs in Gabe when he brings his daughter to her class at school. Erica & Gsbe have a history- they were college sweethearts. The story that comes from this reunion is amazing. Kept me reading way late into the night. Kim Law writes with such emotion - she brings the reader along with her as her characters experience the many ups & down of life. Montana Mornings, although a standalone, is the third book in the Wilde family saga by Kim Law. I’ve been looking forward to reading about Gabe Wilde. Gabe returns to Birch Bay, Montana, where his family has an orchard. He and his young daughter come back however he doesn’t return to the family business or the family home. He and his daughter move to a new home and he is now a high school teacher. Erica Bird is also new to town, substituting for a second-grade teacher out on maternity leave. She also happens to be an old flame of Gabe’s AND is renting an apartment across the street (from their new home). Both Gabe and Erica try to ignore their history as they each have divorces and crazy ex’s to deal with and emotions to work through. Their navigation through their problems and issues, towards each other again, is the heart of this story. And heart does this story have! Jenna, Gabe’s little girl, will in turn break your heart, warm your heart, and test your patience. In the end, she will melt your heart as only a little one can do. I love this series and this book. You’ll find tons of heart – and some patches of ‘will you just talk to one another???’ (at least for me) – but I really enjoyed this book and recommend. I received a free, advance copy of this book from the publisher and I freely give my unbiased review.

I had read book 2 of this series, and was looking forward to Gabe Wilde’s story. There were moments I liked it very much, others that I felt it dragged a tad, and then at times I just wanted to shake Gabe and Erica. The basis of the story is that Erica is in Birch Bay working as substitute elementary school teacher and one of her students is the daughter of Gabe, her college boyfriend. Both have issues. Erica has been divorced 2 years but still is in contact with her cheating husband. While Gabe is trying to finalize his divorce to a greedy and devious woman. In the midst of it all, he is also dealing with a daughter who is now constantly misbehaving and troubled. The book not only highlights the effects of divorce not only for the adults and children, but that our experiences we have as children will mold us as adults. A complex subject in which there is lots of hurt and usually are no winners. Thought provoking to say the least. I was gifted this book by Netgalley. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Montana Mornings is Gabe's story. The book I was anxiously awaiting. It is the third book in this series and I have to say is probably my favorite. Gabe Wilde has taken his daughter Jenna and moved back to Birch Bay. He has left Michelle, his wife and California behind to make a new life for himself and his daughter. He has got a job as a high school teacher, he coaches the football team. He bought a house and is determined to make this work. His daughter Jenna is having a hard time. The once sweet and easy going child is now argumentative and hard to get along with most days, and then flip a switch and she shows signs of her old self. Gabe is doing all he can do to help her adjust to their new life but wonders is it enough. Is he enough? Erica Bird is a second grade teacher in Birch Bay. She left her job and family in a hurried decision to get away from her ex husband and all that goes with him. He humiliated her in front of her whole town with her best friend and she just can't seem to get past it. Hoping this new place and new job would help her get over her past she took this job knowing it would not be a permanent position and not knowing what she would do afterwards. Gabe brings Jenna to school on her first day and is shocked to learn that her new teacher is his long ago girlfriend from college. Jenna's teacher is just as shocked. Erica notices right from the start that Jenna is having issues, and vows to do her best to help her. Shortly after it is discovered that Gabe and Erica are neighbors now as well. They become friends all over again and both admit to deeper feelings but are not sure the timing is right. They decide to go ahead and through it all Erica is helping as much as she can with Jenna and things are good. Gabe is at work and gets a phone call from Michelle, his ex-wife. This causes major upheaval for all concerned. This book is a romance by Kim Law but as per her usual she touches on other heart-wrenching subjects as well. The turmoil of Gabe's daughter in this story is heartbreaking, and to see a mom put a family through what they go through makes you want to reach into the pages and shake her. But Gabe's family, the Wilde's,with them he has a wonderful support system. Since finding out about the disease their mom had they have strengthened as a family unit. Erica goes through her own "dark" period throughout this but she comes back as a much stronger person for Gabe and herself because of it. I recommend this book whole heartedly, but I do suggest starting with the first book in the series so you can be familiar with how it all came to be. It will give you a much better picture of all the characters involved and how they got to this point, especially Gabe and his daughter Jenna. I thank Kim Law for giving Gabe his HEA, this guy deserved it and earned it. When this book releases I will be buying my own copy of it for sure. “I received a free, advance copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my unbiased review.”

.” “I received a free, advance copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my Erica and Gabe or college sweethearts that parted ways. Finding their way back to each other after two bad marriages. Erica didn't think she could make it on her own. She can't seem to let ex-husband of two years go. Even after he got a woman pregnant which was her friend. Gabe had a 7 year old daughter who wife wanted nothing to do with her but made his and his daughter life a living hell. Using his daughter to get at him. Reminding him of how his own mother treated him when he and his siblings where growing up. A heart breaking story that anyone can relate to if you've ever had a messy divorce where one spouse uses the kids to get what they want instead of thinking about the children. Well written story from Kim Law just what you would expect from her. Will buy this book for my own collection. I enjoyed this much.

This was an amazing story that held me captivated from the first page. Book 3 of the The Wildes of Birch Bay series can easily be read standalone although we have read about Gabe in prior books. This book gives us his whole story and it's an emotional ride you don't want to miss. Gabe and his young daughter Jenna are back in Birch Bay. After giving his marriage everything he had he knows it's time to start over. Not only for his sake but for his daughters as well. Jenna is struggling with the changes and Gabe has a meeting with her new teacher. Little does he know that Erica Bird, an old college girlfriend is that teacher. Erica is struggling with demons from her past as well. Will these two be willing to act on the newly developing feelings or will they hold back their hearts in fear of being hurt again?? This book is filled with all the emotions you look for in a good romance. Don't miss it. I highly recommend it to everyone.
