About the Author

Matthew has always had an affinity for fantasy, starting with the Redwall series, and then stumbling into the lore of Warcraft. Robert E. Howard, George R.R. Martin, and Brandon Sanderson were the authors that really cemented the love for fantasy. Matthew is partial to anything with a sword and sorcery twist and unique setting.

Moon Breaker by Matthew Marchitto In a secluded Valley there lives a tribe of people. Some of them have a "gift". Young Kroll is one of them, he has the gift to move stones and earth with his mind. Kroll must take his Fathers place as Mookwarden, and hunt a dangerous Stone Eater. This is a dangerous task, and most thing he will not make it back to the Valley alive. A fast paced well written story. I liked the originality of the story, Kroll is brave and very likable. He faces many dangers. There is a lot of action, interesting people and dragons. Who doesn't love dragons! I liked the camaraderie, the family bond and the intense pace of the story.  Although this is a short story, a lot is told on the pages of this fascinating, fun, adventurous story. I read in anticipation, waiting and hoping that Kroll would achieve his goal. I recommend Moon Breaker to Y/A and Adult readers who love a great fantasy/adventure. I have to add the cover art was very "eye catching". I liked the cover, it captures the "thrill" of this wonderful story.
